you hit "back order" it still says 4-6 weeks (as it has unfortunately for the several weeks I've been watching it...). But there's no new update note, suggests to me we're still in the same delay phase we've been on.

In 90% of my utility use I'm cutting plant material of some kind, using the rear half of the blade- both for the superior leverage, but also because on the front half, w/ the sweep, the knife can easily slip off of thick branches, for instance. For my purposes, a PE is a no-brainer.

thanks! I love snakewood, and in general prefer the contrast of vertical play. I think the horizontal works particularly well w/ the damascus tho, because of the sudden distortion of the lines when the eye moves forward to the blade. Hat's off to Spyderco here- it would seem this was brought forward...

hi guys, I picked up my damascus-mule at the customsoffice in Emmerich this morning. It reached Europe in a week! Couldn't wait to make grip instantly. I chose cocobolo (instead of the snakewood I mentioned before). For the moment it looks good I think. I will finally make home-made micarta scales ...
