I have no problem with mine. I can flick open too, but I can flick open my ladybug hawkbill too (maybe I spend too much time playing with my Spyderco's).

I purchased a thumb stud for it but it is a little too small for it. Does anyone know where I can purchase a thumb st...

I received the large spyderpac for Christmas and it is great. I can take it with me and I have room to grow my collection. It is very well made.

CHAPARRAL Carbon Fiber cts xhp catalog 2013

I noticed that the Chaparral Carbon Fiber has the cts xhp steel not the s30v in th 2013 catalog. Is this correct?

So, should we consider this; we would make it without the cobra hood. G-10 would be ok, color? Plain edge only. Compression lock. sal I would like a cobra hood but it won't keep me from buying it. I am so excited about this knife for some reason. Sal should I just send you a check now? :-)

I was looking at the salsa again and it looks like to me they have different locks. Is this true? Also does the cobra hood come off? I think I would like the cobra hood.

I love my manix but people are correct it is a very large knife. I don't have a large collection but I can send you a picture of manix with a dragonfly with a squeak and a salt 1 if it helps.
