Bump. :) (Perhaps I'm just too greedy, but I thought I'd bring this thread back to the top). In light of the near-debut of the Yojimbo 2 and the not-too-distant unveiling of the Orange Dodo, I somehow managed to overlook this beauty called the "Techno." Does anyone have any new info on thi...

M8R8J, Welcome to the Forum and congrats on what will likely be the first of many Spyderco purchases. :) For what it's worth, I think you'd definately enjoy either the Para 2 or the full-size Millie. Once upon a time, I had a Military in CPM-440v...I loved that knife. I ended up trading it in for a ...

Rwb1500, I feel your pain. Since I literally live out in the cornfields of northeastern Indiana, I have to drive an hour and a half to the nearest Spyderco dealer. And unfortunately, the prices there are well above the MSRP. :( BTW, I too have wondered why Gander Mountain is listed as a Spyderco ret...

Mud Shrimp Moe, Good gosh almighty, man! You've definately been "bitten" by the 'Bug. I've seen several forms of this addiction before, but I think you've gone straight terminal. :) I remember my very first Spyderco purchase well. It was a simple black FRN Ladybug. And it was all down-hill...

SteelDragon, I appreciate the feedback on the Street Beat. It literally took a few years for it to "grow" on me, but I think I'd really like it. I recently located one on the 'Net for $143.99. So far, I think this is about the lowest I've seen it go for brand new. (I suppose one could find...

Congrats, Billy. That will certainly help hold off the cravings until the Yo 2 arrives.

Sooo, thought I'd ask the obvious question here...any updates yet on the ETA of Yojimbo 2? I'm starting to have dreams about them...

How crazy did I go (on a Spyderco purchase)? Hmmm. Well, "crazy" is a matter of opinion. I think I'm definately past the "crazy" part. I think "criminally-insane" may be a more fitting description at this point. (I jest slightly). Back to the point: I once spent about $...

DiKa, I really dig the looks of the Khukuri. For some reason, it's always the oddest-looking Spydies that really get my attention (i.e. Zulu, Massad Ayoob, Dodo etc.). Dr. Snubnose, Lol! Pocket lint to knives is what Kryptonite is for Superman. Seems like I'm always blowing that crud out of my EDC. ...

My current grail is probably the Lum Tanto fixed blade. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on one of those. gbelleh, That is a really sweet knife. I've admired it too. Too bad it's getting to be so salty in cost. Right now, I've actually had an interest in the Perrin Street Beat. Seems like ...

Welcome Starmate and congrats on the Meerkat. For me, probably a Chinook 2. Of course ther are so many that I want. Only time and money can solve the problem though. Bal, Thanks for the welcome. As for more money for Spyderco's, count me in! As crazy as it sounds, I'm having a hard time "prior...

Newest acquisition: Spyderco Meerkat Reverse "S" SE

Hi all! Just wanted to share a memorable moment with you: My "grail" quest has officially ended. I finally picked up a Meerkat with the Reverse "S" blade, serrated. This version has the blade in AUS-6 stainless steel and black FRN handles. It is brand-new in-the-box, and boy, it ...

Where to find a C80 Dodo?

Hi all. I've been looking to purchase a Dodo (in either black or blue G-10) for quite some time. I realize that they were discontinued a long time ago. I occasionally see one for sale on e-Bay. At this point, does anyone know of where I could purchase a new one or nearly new? (i.e. never used/sharpe...

Wow! I guess I have been out of the loop for quite a while. Thanks a bunch everyone for the heads-up on where to find some of the older Spyderco models. My wallet, however, will not appreciate this. :) I saw the name "John F. Jensen" in one of your posts and it took me back in time. I actu...

Where to find discontinued Spyderco knives...

Hi all. It has been several years since I first started collecting Spyderco knives. I recently "regained the interest" of collecting and was wondering if anyone knew of any reputable websites I could find some of the older, discontinued Spyderco models? By older models, I am refering to so...
