Re: Mystery Box

$250 Mystery Box received and thoughts…can’t say that I’m thrilled but that comes with some of my own perceptions. 1. I assumed on my own that the value of the box would be greater than the $250 paid to compensate for the risk of not knowing what you were getting. 2. Someone elsewhere stated Mystery...

Now that I have my Stretches from Bentobox along with ZDP-189 faithful, figured I would toss a photo in. Thanks again for the heads up.

Great pic! And the ZDP Stretch is so nice! Hopefully the HAP40 lives up to expectations

Re: Red & Black Holiday Sale!

Smooth no issues, got a Mystery Box for $250 containing at least 2 knives one guaranteed to be an elite Spirit Run. The combined value of all items in the box will equal or exceed the price of the box. Hope so because the 15v Shamans were $105 in store so that would be $145 for another second non s...

Re: Red & Black Holiday Sale!

$250 Mystery Box secured! Appreciate the smooth transaction. Didn't even look at other items initially just added to cart, paid (minus trying to pay with Discover DOH), and got the confirmation page. Cheers!

Re: Red & Black Holiday Sale!

Really exciting!! I didn’t hear about the prior online seconds sale until recently so I was thinking I’d need to wait until next summer. Super pumped to see one again so soon and thank you for working to improve what sounded like a challenging experience for all the first time around. Whatever happe...

Re: Spyderco Stretch Original

The HAP40 version of the original Stretch is my favorite version of the Stretch family. The steel feels like it was made for this knife and I like both the aesthetics and ergonomics a lot more than the Stretch 2 or any of the straight spine versions. I appreciate Sal and company’s CQI but I agree w...

Re: Spyderco Stretch Original

I remember with agony passing up a good deal on a BNIB S1 in Hap40 thinking it would be too big in the handle for me. This was a few years ago before I’ve had a chance to hold/try one. Now I know better. It won’t happen again. The HAP40 Stretch 1 at Bento Box Shop is 200 USD... I got mine from them...

Spyderco Stretch Original

Hey all! Recently picked up an OG Stretch in Hap40. Totally in love with the ergos and blade shape. Unfortunately this means I’m not a huge fan of the Stretch 2. It’s been hard trying to find any original Stretch versions out there for sale. Especially since people mislabel them as Stretch 2s. Does ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Haven’t bought a new Spyderco for about a decade or more. The only ones I have left from my knife collecting days are a S110V Para2 and a vintage Cricket PE. But the bug came back around and I did one old and one new. Old: Stretch sprint run in burnt orange with HAP40. Always wanted a Stretch back i...

Ladybug Generation?

Hey Experts! Came across this apparently NIB Ladybug for sale. I was wondering if it was the original version? Couldn't find a matching pic out there in my searches. They also had a partially serrated one. What do you think would be a fair price? Thanks for the help! http://i250.photobucket.com/albu...

Thanks for your input Blerv. That is kind of what I'm running into. The Dragonfly would be lighter and probably more useful, but the Cat is more like my Para 2. Hmmm

I could sharpen it when I go up to visit, but when he is at school he'd be on his own. Probably would be used sparingly for the usual stuff. Opening mail/boxes, cutting loose threads, you know heavy duty stuff. ;)

Spyderco Cat vs Dragonfly for Boston carry?

My brother attends college in Boston. When we went up to visit recently he was admiring my Para 2 and saying how he would like a knife. Blade length in Boston is limited to 2.5" or less. When I mentioned that he laughed and said then I would want 2.5". lol I've been trying to decide which ...

Jim over at Howe's has always taken great care of me. I am thinking about placing my pre-orders for the 2012 knives with GPKnives this year. Anyone have any reason why that wouldn't be a good idea?
