Re: TNP Nutnfancy Spyderco Delica 4

I wish on a knife forum we would spend our time talking about the knife. Yeah, I already know which hand will fill up first. I like having an S35VN Delica to go along with the CRUWEAR in my collection. Of the 10 or so Delica's I have owned, these are my favorite due to the blade steels and the hand...

Re: TNP Nutnfancy Spyderco Delica 4

I received mine today and I'm happy to add it to my Delica and TNP collections. Yes, Nutn can kinda be a douche and be long winded at times, but I have watched him for probably 12 years now. I value his opinions, appreciate what he does and agree with the majority of what he says. To each their own ...

I pre-ordered an Endura. I already have a regular GITD Delica, so they will be a good pair. The Endura's are possibly shipping by the end of next week.

Nylon string can also be used in a pinch. I've cut through 4 inch pvc conduit with it before. Not the best but if you have nothing else...

Exactly what I was going to say! I did that before I ever heard of a cable saw.

Re: Native Chief first and ongoing impressions thread

I'm really liking mine. It's a great size if you don't mind a larger knife. Feels great in the hand in any grip. Great F&F and sharp as ****!

Mine should arrive on Monday. I'm really looking forward to this one. Generally, I've been holding out for Sprint Runs/Exclusives on many, like with the Endela, but I couldn't wait on this one.

Re: What knives are you planning on since the Amsterdam meet?

VERY disappointed that the Sage 5 is G-10/CF Laminate! I hope Eric was wrong about the handle material in the Sage 5 video like he was on the Sage 3 and 4 configurations (wrong order). BTW...I'm not being critical about him messing up, it is very hard to keep up with every model, especially in front...

Re: Mantra or Mantra 2?

I love the Mantra, I've been carrying for a couple of days now. The only thing that was a little surprising to me is the late lock up on a new knife. I'd say it locks up at about 60-70%. Has anybody else noticed this on their's?

Re: Bushcraft - "Slippery handle grip"

Something around 220 grit sandpaper will add some grip and get rid of the high polish on the G-10.

I love the Super Blue version I currently own. In have had the combo FRN and the CF/ZDP versions...all great knives! Go to the EDC Battle thread and see my comment about the Stretch I posted a little while ago. It is a must have in any Spydie collection!

Re: EDC Battle: Delica vs. Endura vs. Stretch

I say the Stretch. I own or have owned multiples of all three and like them all. I feel sure the Stretch is the least owned knife out of the three. But if more people here voting had one (or more), I bet it would be at the top of this pole for sure, IMO. Of course, it's only one away from being tied...

I'd like to see a 3.5 or even a 3.25 with some sort of solid, textured CF and a "super steel" other tha ZDP-189. :D

Re: Best Lube for no-washer FRN Knives...

I use WeaponShield on all of my folders and am pleased with it. Millitec is another that I have used with good results. I am still afraid to use Ballistol, especially on knives with bronze phosphor washers due to the bad things I have heard about it eating away at the washers.

Re: Buried treasure beneath the peel-ply CF

I've been channeling my inner Blackbeard and finding treasure buried deep within my peel ply Spydies - I'm in love with the g10 beneath the cf once it gets some sanding/buffing. Started with the Dice last week (documented in a previous thread), quickly moved to the Domino, and today the urge took m...

Re: How do you store??

Thanks for the thread link.... Really cool. I don't look at my "collection" as much as the standard collector. I buy them to use hard. I don't mind displaying them, but to me they are simply tools. Some nicer then others all designed to get used. I used to be a man of money. First day I o...

Re: How do you store??

In my gun safe. Folder holder has been built in five different stages and pieced together as my collection has grown. The final, upper section was then last one added. It's a different color because I didn't have any of the silver left since it had been awhile since I added to it. Fixed blades on wi...

Re: I only have a few knives, but I'm happy. Am I crazy?

This little hobby that all of use here have can definitely be addicting! Right now I have about 20 Spyderco's and probably 60 knives all together, including fixed blades. I can't tell you how many times I have said I have all I need and am not going to buy any for awhile and....I see something I &qu...
