Re: Behold my long awaited perfect plain edge Spydie

I wouldn’t call .018 very thin... maybe .002 thinner than other spydies, so maybe thinner but... it’d be a lot cooler at .015 or thinner :D It would be fair to say that it’s thinner behind the edge than “most” not “other” spydies. Most are ground > 0.022 bte. My Delicas are > 0.024 ... it’s crazy, I...

Behold my long awaited perfect plain edge Spydie

This one is as close to perfection as it gets, at least in my book. Perfect blade lenght for most daily chores if you ask me, great ergos in a neutral handle, wire pocket clip, thin blade stock ground very thin behind the edge( 0.018") . The 20CV steel is just a bonus. Perfect slicing machine. Sal, ...

I would have to say my favorite Spyderco go-to is the Native 5 Salt..........................

Define "go-to" .... but, let's say you mean " the one I am tempted to grab more often " ... these are is my "go-to" spydies :

Re: CPM SPY27 steel

I think this steel in a para3lw will be a great pairing. Honestly, it should come out in a Native too- Spyderco’s eponymous steel in a design native to Golden :D I agree.I only wish they released the LW Para3 first. I am not crazy about the Native 5 model. I wonder how long before they expand the u...

Re: My Military conundrum.

This will sound silly, but my advice is to go with whatever scale color you prefer. S30V is just great stuff. My esteem for it keeps going up, especially in a knife from Spyderco. If it was me, I would probably go for the S30V. I have come to appreciate more well balanced steels and I am willing to...

Re: Appeal to bring back the stunning Titanium UK Pocket Knife

I want one so bad one but I dream of a titanium Urban even more. I am not picky when it comes to the steel... S30V is good enough for me.

Once again my beloved CPM-Cruwear proved itself ... that's why I love this steel...almost perfect balance of properties ... and decent corrosion resistence.

Re: Delica vs UKPK

It's a tough one. UKPK has better ergos at least for my medium hands but I like the looks of the Delica slightly more ... old school iconic Spyderco. Both are good allaround users. Enough said.

So in the end I decided to upgrade my Smock and get the funky scales this knife deserves. I'm pretty happy how it turned out!

Re: Spyderco Smock:Technical Showcase, Dud Knife

I am lost here  So, the knife looks well or at least the blade looks cool, it's a dream to open and close, it's very thin behind the edge and cuts like a champ, the handle is neutral enough to use multiple grips and that cutout in the blade CAN be used as a finger choil with minimal prudence. I...
