Re: Wharncliffe's

A slightly modified wharncliffe is my favorite plain edge shape... something between a classic wharncliffe and a hawkbill ... as in the P'kal. Tremendous cutting power yet quite easy to sharpen. That being said, my beloved SE wharnie Delica is probably my most carried and used spydie lately. I only ...

Re: Pac salt green frn lc200n shipping to dealers!

TkoK83Spy, LC200N in PE is basically a rust proof VG10 in my experience. Enough edge holding for my uses, but it won't be putting S110V to shame in terms of edge holding. You gonna get a serrated one, plain edge, or both? u.w. Ordered a PE tonight. I'll get SE down the road. I already have a SE Pac...

I only wish the release a serrated ffg Delica in the same combo. I am going to purchase the serrated green Pac Salt for sure.

Re: Spyderco’s best kept secret

Hi Marius, To tell you the truth, I was a little intimidated to open the thread. Oh uh, what does Marius know? Thanx for the kind words. Passion is a good thing. As far as what I like? I do enjoy the using of the tool. You can't "know" the spirit of the design without using it. It also gives me the...

Re: Spyderco’s best kept secret

I started this thread just because exactly 11 years ago I purchased my first Spydie. It's still in my collection, an old foliage green G10, UKPK in S30V. I shall never depart that one. Awesome slipit, timeless Sal Glesser design. The man is a genius, mark my words. P.S BTW, we need more UKPK's. What...

Spyderco’s best kept secret

From time to time I try my luck and hope to finally find out which is Sal’s fav edc, the ONE. All we know(or at least all I know) so far is that he likes to carry a Manbug from time to time and that the Stretch is his beloved pet project. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine but.... who kn...

Re: Delica/Endura Gen 5 Thoughts

I would bring back the Endura 3 style handle. That's it. Delica is perfect as it is but it needs to be ground thinner behind the edge.

Re: Sal, CQI the Urban LW, please

Urban lovers ? I’m your man ;) I agree 100%. Urban is the best city pocket folder in the Spyderco line and deserves the best. That pivot spinning bugs me too but I have to disagree on the backspring issue. I like it stronger, it’s a slipie after all. A stronger backspring is just an extra safety me...

Re: Rock Jumper comparison thread + general info

There is no secret that I love and carry my beloved SE wharnie Delica quite alot. One question for those who own both the SE wharnie Delica and the SE RJ and not only. What has the RJ to offer me over the Delica ? Longer handle ? Longer blade ? Hidden ricasso and edge all the way to the handle ? Do ...

Re: Rock Jumper comparison thread + general info

Hi Tangent, Eric's long term plan is to make a Salt version of most popular models. sal Just saw this...that's awesome. Looking forward to it...each time I think "Spyderco can't improve on this..." and then Spyderco improves on it. The Rock Jumper feels great in the hand and is smooth as butter. I'...

I have the little Lansky Spyder Sharpener, which matches the SE serration shapes.

It didn't work for me... almost ruined the scallops on my old SE Salt1. I just take one white fine SM rod with me when I live home for more than a week. It never failed me.
