Re: That Metropolitan is mine !
Looks like they’ve done away with the finger choil jimping on this new model. ',:-|
I’m not a fan of this decision at all. A backwards step from the Urban and UKPK.
That's surprising. I wouldn't have noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out until I had one in hand. I think between that ...

Re: That Metropolitan is mine !
When they decided to shorten the Urban’s blade I was quite let down but now I am happy again. This one is going to be a fierce competitor against my usual urban go to pocket folders. I hope Doc Dan is as excited as I am. Bring it on !

Re: What is your all time favorite steel?
Cruwear, SPY27, S90V, H1 and AEB-L(14C28N). To each his own. If I had to pick just one I would probably go with the AEB-L or any other steel in this class( 14C28N …). I like how they sharpen and maintain and edge stability is something I value alot. Second close would be H1 for spyderedges but not ...

Re: Manbug Leaf
Well after my wife snatched the zdp dragonfly I wanted to get myself a micro carry. This thread reminded me the manbug does have a non drop point version. And I am surprised the cutting edge is practically as big as the dragonfly 2. I added the lanyard and Prometheus delrin keychain snap just to ...

Re: High Performance Delica Excitement
This has got to be one of the most exciting things coming from Spyderco in ages.
The best high hollow grind ever done by Spyderco (IMHO of course) is to be found on the T-Mag, one of my absolute favorites (what you're seeing here is the very factory edge from a decade back, never needed to touch ...

Re: That Metropolitan is mine !
Videos with it are coming in from Blade Show. Looks very nice. They said they won’t use M398 forever, just in the beginning production.
I saw that video, and hoped that either Eric or David would have commented on the action of the knife, but they talked about the steel for a hot minute and ...

Re: Sal, what are the chances for a Calypso jr. in SPY27 ?
Sorry to hear that. The Caly-Calypso family is such a refined line of knives. This probably means that the LW Caly3.5 is also on hold. Such a disappointment

Re: Blade Show 2025
Towards the end of the video above, Eric hints at some more Police stuff coming:
* “More Polices are coming”
* “Bringing back some of the Police stuff”
* “And doing new stuff”
Eric also said he didn’t want to get ahead of himself. I take that as meaning we’ll have to wait a bit. Still very cool to ...

Re: Reveal 18 - Live!
The Dyad Jr looks interesting. The Spy27 Bodi looks good. Lil Native lock back in 15v is nice. The metropolitan - meh! UKPK will remain the Slippy king.
But I have no idea why anyone would want to pay an extra $200 premium for the fat carbon Chaparral over the FRN version. No chance of me ...

Re: Blade Show 2025
It is time! Tomorrow is the day. I know some not local to Atlanta have already arrived. Always looking forward to this weekend.
I am really excited to see the prototypes. I have a feeling there is going to be some really cool new stuff to check out. Most excited to see the staff, Sal, and Eric if ...

Re: I’ve been bit?
Try one of these and you'll thank me later. Best of all worlds. It packs tremendous cutting power, it's stainless enough for the average user and as someone suggested(alcolainen) if precission is needed it has enough plain edge near the tip. I tried them all but this variant conquered my heart ...

Re: High Performance Delica Excitement
Yep, still waiting with the rest of you.
I'm afraid the model will breach the $100 threshold when finally revealed, ultimately putting a premature death to the "high performance" chassis that this platform will offer. Oh well. Still looking forward to this one for at least a Sprint Run.
