Re: Caly 3 love?

Hi Marius,

'Tis a frustrating puzzlement for us. We tried moving the 3.5 FRN version to Taichung, but he is at capacity, with many current models growing, and we were looking at 2029? Golden is also quite backed up with many models far behind on planned dates. With current models expanding in ...

Re: Caly 3 love?

I remember Sal mentioning that the Moki shop does not deliver. It’s a shame because the Caly design is one of his most refined designs. Why don’t they move the production to Golden or Taichung is beyond my understanding. The Caly family deserves that. I still dream of a LW Caly3.5 and a G10 Caly3 in ...

Just an all around winner. Seeing a handful of models from the case at BLADE show is a fun surprise.

The PM2 LW is going to be a massive hit. It is already seeing a sprint run!

We finally got the Charisma and in four colors to boot. :star-struck

Love seeing more Ed Schempp designs coming ...

Serrations are all over in Nature. There must be a reason. God doesn't screw up like that.

A New Marcìn Slysz design, like the Bowie he's working on or the Rat.

That would get my money immediately !

Another Bowie ?! Do tell…

Here's the two pictures Marcìn shared on his instagram. And a link to his instagram, of course !

Re: Love for the little guys

If I’m being honest, anything beyond my old Dragonfly is unnecessary. Having said that, the knife thing is a mini hobby that flares and subsides as time goes on. I did just buy a few bigger knives to play around with, (Pac Salt 1 and Salt 1) but again if forced to keep one it would be the D’fly ...

I really wish the blades were slightly longer. I feel reluctant to use the plain edge one for most of my daily chores. It seems so fragile.

Re: Anyone else hoping for more steels/colors in the Lil Native LW?

I know I'm biased, but Eric really hit it out of the park with this one. Now that we're tooled, we can meet all of your preferences in color or steel. Also an opportunity for exclusives which broaden the choices.

As Nick said, it's a given that when we invest in FRN tooling, the opportunities for ...

While the DF2 wharncliffe is very capable, my next step up is currently the Rockjumber. That's quite a leap.

Re: European Spyderco Owners: your opinions wanted

I often carry a Victorinox Spartan or an Opinel nr.8 but one Spyderco is allways with me. I couldn’t care less about idiotic knife laws. Europe is a mess and everything is heading far left, knife laws included. I try not to exhibit my knife in public in a way that could “scary” the “sheep” and be ...

Re: Another thread for discussing a Chaparral XL - now that it came one step closer to becoming a reality

I’d much prefer it to retain the 2mm stock.
2.5mm would still allow for a geometry similar to that of the UKPK or Delica but on a 3.5” blade, however its exceptional cutting ability the Chaparral is renowned for would be diminished - Still good but not definitively good.

Anything above 2.5mm ...

Re: Decline of serrations

Serrated knife always cuts, plain edge must be very sharp, edge must be finished to not compromise properties of particular steel - some like mirror edge, other don't. I had situations that shaving sharp knife struggled to cut zip tie, blade slipped on it and hit the concrete beneath. SE ...
