Re: Why did you join?

Sal, I joined the forum around the time I bought my first Spyderco, around a decade ago. I read a lot more than I post, and I have come to deeply appreciate that you and your team are consistently pushing the envelope on affordable high-performance cutlery. I come here primarily to learn I bought my...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

I just got a ship notice from KC, which I was hoping would take a couple of weeks to come through allowing my budget to recover. Not a bad problem to have ;) Not a bad problem at all, conga-rats, also interested in when you placed your pre-order. :) I placed my pre order on 12/8/2015 Regards, Will

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Apples do indeed seem to be great for patina. I'm not getting any pretty rainbows but it's darkening with each one I slice up. Agree, apples work great on SB, gives a nice rainbowy blue, so is yours darkening a brown color or more blackish...? So far it is grey with hints of blue, and places where ...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Ate a couple of apple with mine. Patina is coming along nicely, not dissimilar to superblue, in my experience, as I have a well worn in 3.5 Caly in Superblue. This knife takes a very keen edge with very little effort. Thanks Sal (for kicking this project off and blessing it) and give your metallurgi...

Does a Techno count?...

If it does it's been the only knife I've carried since I got it a week and a half ago.

It's a very capable blade.

52100 would be amazing and a production folder first-time-ever. I saw some Japanese made kitchen knives in it so sourcing it is plausible.

Think about it. It would be magnificent in this platform.

I have only one. A manix 2 in CTS-XHP that I've had for two weeks now. It is a great pocket knife.
