Someone on bladeforums pointed Winy Ridge Designs out to me a while back. Some of the most awesome looking work I have seen.

Last ditch knife for self-defense? I would think that WITH TRAINING there are a variety of Spyderco's specifically designed for MBC. The Chinook, Street Beat, waved Endura, and the Ayoob come to mind. There would be nothing wrong with the Police either. The Civilian is designed with those in mind ...

I love my serrated Millie, and have a strong inclination to go after the Carpenter sprint with brown handles. And yes, it is iconic Chuck :D

must have one. Looks to be the perfect dress knife to me. A bit more pricey than I would have liked but shouldn't be a dealbreaker. Wish it was in ZDP, then again my steel snobbery is in the beginning phase. VG-10 is awesomeness in itself. Sometimes we forget how spoiled we are ;)

FRN Stretch ZDP. I am really impressed so far, but the handle seems so SMALL going back from my endura... Think I'm starting to catch the Millie fever =/

went with Ranger Green scales, now just have to have a sheath made. This one's gonna be a user too. Deer, Elk, maybe a MOOSE  I figure if I'ma give a knife to my father it'd better have some character and at least be a little custom =). Not too many deals on Damascus blades out there, and with ...

Still relatively inexperienced with the Spydie scene but have done quite a bit of research. The top five that appeal to me in no particular order are

Stretch 2
Military
Persian
Yojimbo
Dodo

honorable mention for the endura waved

True enough, though I must admit a little bit of alcohol was involved in that last posting  Does Spyderco offer an option where we can pay to have a blade serrated? I doubt it, but you never know unless you ask

If this is really true I cannot say how truly sorry i am to see one of of the most iconic representatives of the brand go down in flames. I hereby summon a strike! But seriously, how can we let this go down without a complaint? I see no reason why this most iconic of Spydercos can be abandoned ...

Hmm, current model sprints? I'd have to support a Chinook in s90v or carpenter steel steel with different color g-10. We could put it to a vote. Wouldn't a carbon fiber police in zdp-189 be just dandy?

I actually registered here so add my comments to this. I was a Benchmade guy. Yes, it is true. I was convinced in mah brain that the butterfly company made the best knives because they cost so much and were more prevalent around our stores. Last year I bought an endura to replace my BM Vex ...
