This is my first time seeing the ocean aside from on a bus crossing the Golden Gate bridge so it's pretty surreal. You read about it and see it in movies and pics but until you stand on a beach and look out into that endless blue horizon, you can't really imagine the size of it... I feel like the p...

I think the wave/Emerson opener looks ugly as sin and doesn't match the rest of Spyderco's design philosophy. I might agree here... the standard waves on Spyderco models are huge and kind of take away from the lines/aesthetics to my eyes. I have seen a few mods that were more subtle which I could l...

Erm, no. One hand opening and easy access increase the utility as a tool. The wave feature decreases utility because it snags all the **** time. It makes your tool less useful as a tool, for the sake of appealing to mall ninjas who want to feel like badasses. I am not trying to be the defender to w...

Second of all, one hand opening and pocket clips are convenient features for a tool. Obviously you've never been on a ladder, holding on with one hand and needing to cut something with only one free hand. I understand everybody's sentiments, but for me, this right here illustrates how a waved blade...

The site is working now it seems. I actually enjoyed the thrill (if you will) of getting jammed up at that state query page over and over for 50 min+. Never once checked quantity, but I did refresh this thread over and over haha. Congrats to all the forum members who got at least one so far, and tha...

Last weekend, I was at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to watch a showing of 'High Noon', the 1952 flick with Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. During the summer, they show movies and let you bring whatever you want as far as food/bev and blankets etc... pretty cool. I took the liberty of snapping one of ...

Hi all, my lurking days are over.
After a few years of reading posts in this forum, I decided to finally take the leap and register. Just wanted to thank you all for the countless hours of entertainment, discussion/debate, and love for these fine blades/tools. Jason Thought I'd share some shots from my collection: http://i58.photobu...
