Agree, a Trench Knife does not fit the Spyderco profile. It is more like something Cold Steel would and does make.

Definitely agree with you, Mike. Straight in, straight out. Any twist in the motion either way (off-axis) will drag the edge on the inside of the sheath. Key words: proper technique.
