Better how? What's your requirement? Unless you are a collector, the real question is: what is the difference worth to you? What do you have to sacrifice to make up the difference in price? Is it worth that sacrifice to buy a knife of identical function but slightly different aesthetics and feel? S...

Thanks to all, I am convinced the GB is a great knife and why it is.I have no need really for any knife, but that may hold true for many of you. But we must have our toys even at my age. I have an order in for the GB at Jeff's suggestion, and hope they will hit Cutleryshoppe this coming week. Can't ...

It's a totally different knife. It has a short hollow grind. It doesn't slice well. On the Manix 2 I like the ergos and the lock but I found the grind didn't work well for food prep or cutting cardboard. It works well for carving wood and plenty of other applications, I'm sure but for me it wasn't ...

Why is Gayle Bradley popular?
I see so many references to this knife and am curious why it costs so much and why it is so popular. Thanks for any ideas.

Harpy stainless or Spyderhawk SE blades?
I want a good SE blade and am drawn to the curved ones. Harpy Stainless and Spyderhawk H-! stainless both look great to me. Any opinions? The Superhawk is out of my league financially. Incidentally, it will not be used a lot, so water or whatever is no problem.
