I was looking at my G10 Edura, and the back spacer is very slightly uneven as well. As long a the spring is secure, I would not worry about it.

I think Evil D is right. No one put any time into finishing the part, since it is not seen.

+1 on a hawk bill.

I think that the Harpy and Tasman are highly underrated as users.

Welcome Eric!!

I have placed a couple of pre-orders with Knifecenter and have not had any problems.
They were for Sprint runs, which I think the Dodo is, as well.

I found that the lighter the touch, the sharper the blade gets. ZDP is also very recceptive to stropping.

First was Calypso Junior Micarta, great knife. I gifted it to a friend and was since able to get a replacement. I've had many after that one, but that one started it all.

That Calypso is still the benchmark I judge my other knives against.

Yep, it is a late production Endura 3.

If I remember correctly, Spyderco changed from a hollow ground ATS 55 blade to a Flat Sabre ground VG 10 blade right around 2001 or there about.

The Micarta version in AUS 8 was my first ever spyderco. I still have it. I can't wait for a new version in a more modern blade steel. I just love the combination of light weight and strength that micarta affords.

I have the same thing. Mine is not a pronounce, or deep. I think it may be from when the blade blank was cut, or stamped.

I'm not concerned about it at all, and I over looked that "flaw" when I was admiring the fit and finish.

gac wrote:How do you take off the burr?
You alternate strokes 3 to five on the serrated side and 1 plain side. You then repeat the sequence several times.

The single stroke on the back side of the serration removes the burr formed on the serrated side.

Try soapy warm water and a tooth brush. That works for me when the G10 picks up the pigment of my jeans.

You should be able to have titanium engraved. It is going to be expensive, and it not the easiest material to machine.

I don't think you will be able to get a geen color from anodizing titanium. Titanium takes gold, blue, purple and black easily, but I can't remember seeing titanium anodized green ...

It might not be the same comparison, but I neglected my saber ground serrated Delica for like 2 years. When I did sharpen it up, it came back nicely.

I think your using too obtuse an angle on the lansky. Try sharpening on the 17 or 12.5 setting. I think you'll have better results.

I own more spyderco with teeth than the plain edge. I think people tend to underestimate the versatility of spyderco serrations.

I really hope that spyderco does not abandon them entirely.

I wanted to like the delica 4, but it can't hold a candle to my Carbon Fibre Delica. The older handle was a lot more comfortable to use than the new one.

The other I really wanted to like was the original Paramilitary. The handle ergos are slightly odd to me, and the high ride clip also makes it ...

One thing I've learned, and Sal already explained, is that Spyderco produces High performance cutting tools. They are not intended for prying or hammering. If you need something that, there are much less expensive tools for that.

Spyderco really is about knives designed for efficient cutting ...

I would like the Blade to Hadle ratio of the Delica 3 back. I really don't like how there is about 3 mm of empty space at the heel of the handle.
