Yeah I understand everyone's points. I was merely curious as to why majority of people swayed towards pe blades. Perhaps I am taking for granted the fact that I can carry a military in my state. If I had a smaller blade, like on my previous delica, I would not do a ce. As of right now, I am half tem...

Per your last point, many tasks that done with SE can be done with PE as well. While SE may do things quicker there isn't really anything that absolutely need it either. At least for me I'd rather not give up half the real estate so I can do something that I may encounter only few times in my life ...

Right I understand not having a need on a daily basis. My point in carrying a ce is the off chance that I may need it. Many emergency situations would be more suitably handled with serrations, for instance, cutting a seat belt. Also, many of the tasks that I do with the pe portion of the blade, coul...

what is the PE hype all about?
After being an active reader of this forum, it appears majority of the population tends to purchase pe spyders for edc. I was wondering what the hype for pe is all about. It seems to me that a ce would be more suitable for everyday needs. I currently have the ce military (the version where the serra...

They also have allergy injections you can get once a week. I am going to start them. My dad did them for about a year, (20 or so years ago), and even to this day his allergies are significantly better than they were. The downside is the weekly trips and costs associated. I am not sure how much it is...

My brother got me hooked on Spyders which indirectly led to my coming here. He was in the military and raving about spydercos and how much he and his friends find more utility and quality in the knives than other brands. I purchased my first spyder. Since this was not my first rodeo, I looked up to ...

pet peeve
Maybe I am just anal, but one of my biggest pet peeves is when people notice my millie, ask to see it (I love showing it off as I am sure majority of you are the same way), and they insist on touching the blade and getting their finger prints and oils all over it.
Are you guys the same way?

I live near the ocean as well. I keep the blade oiled (it is porous). Check gun cleaning supplies, many work great on knives. I make sure to clean it often. Seeing as the salt is in the air, I would recommend storing it in a drawer or somewhere less susceptible to the environment while it is not in ...
