For me the spyderhole being covered doesnt change anything. I can deploy it the normal way and flick it open just as easily as my other spydercos.

no blue one. it is the colors around it that are making it appear gray/blueish. Thanks for the comments! :spyder:

a day with the spyderco lum's

I just got these in the mail. Very happy with the purchase. Really looking forward to the new CF lum. The all black lum is just 2 lums lego'd together. The foliage green lum rocks a zdp-189 blade. Here are some photos. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/4902924600_563dcb36a4_b.jpg http://farm5.stat...

Big fan of JETBeam lights and Fenix lights. SureFire lights are my top but too bad you can't use 18650 rechargable batteries in them out of the box.

I would try to wash it out by leaving it in hot water and open and close the knife. Or try to soak the pivot with wd40 to run out debree but make sure you wash the wd40 out afterwards with soapy water. Then relube afterwards with whatever lubrication you normally use. It worked for me and my endura ...

I don't use anything with petroleum. For my knives I use silicone based lubricants. Thats just me though. Last longer and doesnt run off with water.

I can't help. I either prefer fully serrated or plain edge. Dont like combo blades. Maybe in large survival blades but not in my EDC. Pick the one that works for you!

The negativity towards China in this thread is amazing! I am not saying China is known for making quality products but keep in mind. There are educated and skilled individuals in China as well! Not everyone is 8 years old and poverty struck! And even if they were, is that really their fault. Compani...

One primary, a backup (usually smaller), and a really small one (around an inch) for keychain or just to throw in the pocket.

If you want ZDP-189 then you gotta go for the zdp model. ZDP is a very nice steel if you know how to maintain it. If not, I would wait for the CF lum

I don't think it is up to us whether Spyderco decides to make models in USA or in China. I think the only thing we can expect or want from them is high quality products all around regardless of where they are made, and that the prices are competitive. :spyder: :spyder: :spyder: :spyder:

Norton makes a relatively affordable starters kit that is enough to get any knife razor sharp.

I don't really care where they are made as long as they are a good value.
