But the best is a Sebenza :winking-tongue

I'm sure the pivot action is nice but my thumbs can never lower themselves to use a thumb stud again 🤣

When CRK start using thumb holes they might get some of my money.

Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?

SpydieChef for me. It is the most easily Spydieflickable knife I own. If you've been carrying a different knife, you actually have to make a conscious effort to not over flick. I am not a fidget kinda guy. It's just that there is less hand adjustment necessary when Spydie flicking than rolling out ...

What's your favorite model to OPEN?

Absolutely nothing else. Ignore steel, as much of the rest of the ergonomics as you can, focus just on the knives you have and simply how they feel to open and do nothing else...which is most satisfying in this one action and why? List as many as you like for whatever specific reasons, why the heck ...

Re: We need more Millie’s

I'm in for a Cruwear/Micarta version to go with my Shaman (and I want a Chief too) and I'll take some MagnaCut with peel ply carbon fiber. Also for Pete's sake can we just finally get a Military Salt in SE/LC200N?

Re: H1 vs LC200N

Also, does LC200N become ‘less special’ with Magnacut’s high corrosion resistance? H1 will always be special. Is MagnaCut 99.9% rust proof like LC is? I hung a Caribbean from a tree outside for a month with all sorts of nasty stuff on the blade and the few tiny specs of that that formed wiped off. ...

Re: H1 vs LC200N

For me it's a debate that just doesn't add up to any advantage that outweighs the available blade grind options. If H1 were available in FFG this would be a much hotter debate for me, otherwise the two are close enough in every other aspect that I'll go with LC200N if it's an option, but I certainly...

Re: Ack! Both Pac Salt 2 SE variants are on sale. Help me decide!

I've gotta give an unpopular opinion here...the more I use H1, the less I'm impressed with it's toughness. I know that on some level, it's far tougher than a lot of steels, levels such as literally bending the blade 90 degrees where other steels would just snap. That's great if you plan to use your ...

Re: Spyderco Wool Sock Request

A bit off topic, but Enabler D, in another thread, convinced me to try a pair of Darn Toughs. I'm going to see how I like them, and the warranty is incredible. The initial cost is a bit steep but if you buy about 10 pairs so you have a good number to rotate through, with their warranty policy you'l...

Re: SMKW Mystery New Exclusive (Jungle themed)

Why is the PM2 so popular? I’m not being a jerk, I am just being totally honest. I don’t think it’s anything special is it? Well, as a person who is really not a big fan (anymore) I can say in all honesty it's an excellent design, I just changed my preferences and other knives have filled those pre...

the resistance in this post is hilarious. why does anyone care if someone wants spydiesocks? spyderco makes bandanas. what's so wrong with socks? i'd wear some, but i'd prefer a lightweight version. 😂

Sorry man no LW here I need them hard use socks for extra arse kicking protection

If I don't find a non DLC Autonomy 1 in stock at a reasonable price soon, this is gonna be a reality. The urge is getting the best of me. I'd rather do it with a non coated blade though.

I just want a patch I can sew onto a hat. Still can't believe this isn't already a thing.

Darn Tough already get all my sock money, but I might be interested in a collaboration between the two companies if that were possible.

Re: Grandpa’s Knives

I wouldn't do much to either one, maybe look into chemical rust removal (oxalic acid bath, vinegar) just to remove any corrosion but I don't think I'd polish anything because I'd want the scratches from use to remain. I would get them as clean as I could without sanding or polishing and I'd probably...

Re: 1620 Workwear

Thanks for bringing this brand to my attention. I've been on the lookout, off and on, for a good pair of work pants for a long time. The price tag is painful, but maybe they are actually worth it. Plus, I like the idea of supporting USA made products and jobs. What's funny is a lot of brands have i...

Thanks for the review.
It's an interesting brand, but I think their stuff is a little hard to obtain in this part of the world, still.

Yeah international shipping is always a mess. Might be easier to have someone stateside buy it from them and ship it to you.
