Re: WorkerFly?

I'm in if I can get it serrated with the top swedge sharpened. I've always been curious about the utility of the Worker blade shape, and when I heard that the original had a sharpened edge on top it sounded even better. All that in a Dragonfly would make for a very useful little knife.

Re: Experiences with Spydercos SERRATED 8cr13mov?

It seems like an ideal steel for serrations, or at least what I want from serrations...easy to sharpen and easy to fix edge damage while being relatively tough and should be less likely to chip. The Tenacious is also a great platform for serrations, it's more or less a budget Caribbean.

Re: Cancel Culture??

One of the negative aspects of canceling people, removing them from the conversation, is that there is no path back to redemption for them. No space for them to have their minds changed. There seems to be a push to cancel people even after they have changed their mind or apologized for past behavio...

Re: Dlt red pm2 vs bento box blue pm2

I thought about this again and I think I'd go with red, just because for the longest time red was reserved for trainers and is by far a much less common color than blue, which has been done in several different shades.

Re: Random guys honest assessment of the Slysz Bowie.

I don't own either knife so maybe I really have no idea, but I'm pretty baffled at the hype over this knife. To be completely honest I wouldn't be interested at $150 let alone $400. I just don't get it.

Re: Spyderco shopping on Amazon - experiences

As a rule I don't buy knives from Amazon because it's way too easy to return them used, and that's not even considering how many fakes are on there. Years ago I did buy a ZDP Delica from Amazon and it was legit, but that was before I knew any better and the price was so good it was worth the risk. ...

Re: The Manix 2 lw is pretty good

A blade swap and screw construction are possible with the current handle molds, but I have no idea what screws to order. We had a member years ago swap the S110V blade out of the original LW and into a G10 handle and then reassembled the LW handle with the S30V blade. https://forum.spyderco.com/vie...

Re: How long have you been carrying knives, and how have your needs changed?

Basically since I was about 7 years old, or at least that's as far back as I remember having a knife. It was a Case that I found on the side of the road in Corinth Kentucky. I've carried some kind of knife pretty much my whole life since then. I went through a phase where I didn't feel like sharpeni...

OD Green Micarta

I don't think the old Sage Green was ever assigned to a steel, it was more just a random color wasn't it? That was one of my favorite colors.

I'm a bit surprised it has not already happened.

It's a head scratcher to me too. I wonder how the Stretch sells vs other Seki models? I would much rather have a Stretch Salt than a Pacific Salt just based on ergonomics alone and it would be stiff competition vs an Atlantic.

Re: Native 5 salt lockbar tightness

I think I've had five Native 5s at the house now and they're definitely harder to open than other back locks, especially compared to the Rock Jumper. A big part of it is the leverage, as Mike mentioned.

Re: Cancel Culture??

Hopefully this isn't too far off this topic, but on Instagram I have a strict policy of never discussing politics, or letting anyone know what my politics are. I post pictures of knives, and like other peoples pictures of knives. My motto is "I'm just here for the knives.". As a result I follow and...
