If you want a bigger knife.. go with the Sage.
It is more hand filling than the Caly 3.
I've had both.
I traded the Sage away, and will not trade the Caly 3.

Sounds like for $5, you get a factory resharpening, they probably will re-profile, and then you can determine if indeed the heat treat has been ruined enough to impact the knife's performance. When Spyderco gets a knife that has seen quite a bit of use, they often do wonders in bringing it back to l...

I have had this happen to me. In fact, it was a Spyderco Native, and it did take a few days at least, to get the smell out. Here are the solutions I remember trying: alcohol, hot water with dishwashing soap, Febreeze, and yes, even wrapping it in Bounce laundry sheets and keeping it in a box for a f...

Congrats on your 1 year forum anniversary! I always learn something from folks on this forum. Mostly, it is learning about new knives I had no idea I needed, prior to getting on the forum. Everyone is also very courteous and willing to impart knowledge they have on their Spyderco's. Spyderco knives ...

My carbon fiber Michael Walker. Great knife but the clip... heh... Feels like the knife is going to fall out of the pocket when clipped. One of my favorite knives, except for the clip was the blue almite Walker. In fact, the pic in my signature is how I'd like the clip to be modified, to not show s...

What clipped models do you carry, sans clip?
For me, I recently re-discovered my black almite co-pilot. The clip on the knife makes about 1/3 of the knife handle stick up out of my pocket. Seems very odd, for such a small knife. I've removed the clip (again.. as I did this a year or more ago.. then for some reason added it back) and am carryin...

Love 2" gentleman EDC's. Hate losing them.
All of my folders that get regular carry, are in the 2" - 3" blade length range. Many of my EDC's are 2" in length, and I carry them either clipped, sleeved, or simply placed in pants pocket or the little coin pocket of my jeans. These little folders do everything I need them to, but ...

Spyderco is amazing in it's ability to do this to me. My experience ranges from hearing about a future knife, and plotting to save $ to purchase it (Caly III ZDP), mentioning a desired config which Sal then confirmed is coming (Kiwi with CF inserts), to not seeing a new knife coming and having to ge...
