Hi Tanrichguy,

Thanx for the input. Our factory edges tend to be thinner than many other factories. We do this to facilitate easier sharpening (we expect our knives to be used fairly hard and sharpening a fat edge is a real PITA).

We'll look into it.

S30V-The Spyderco way

I hope that some of you who are knowledgeable in regard to heat treatment can educate me some here.

I have noticed that virtually all my Spyderco produced S30V blades develop micro chips after very little usage. This is with the factory edge and is not a result of extraordinary use (cardboard ...

Why on earth would someone give you a hard time for the mule screw-up? You could have just as easily written it off as a lousy steel or made some other excuse and probably gotten away with it. I can think of a few other prominent American knife companies who have released improperly heat treated ...

I love the Para 2. Its my favorite "all-rounder" from Spyderco. I own every variant produced so far and have pre-orders in for those that are upcoming.

I also like the sprint run thing they've got going. I don't know if the masses would go for a super steel Para when they can get a decent S30V ...

Welcome! The Para 2's are such awesome EDC choices. I've already got the regular S30V version (my daily carry) as well as the S90V sprint. Still waiting for my DLC/digicam to come in. Hope you enjoy using it.

A thank you to Sal and company

Dear Sal and the Spyderco team,

Please allow me to take a moment to offer my thanks. You see, many, many, many months ago I, along with many others, bugged you guys incessantly for a new run of the Ayoob and Lum folding Tanto designs.

I perused Wouter's post and low and behold, our wish has been ...

The Para 2 has been my número uno EDC knife since last summer and I don't see that changing anytime soon. So in Internet speak that I just learned from some kids today, it 'pwns' the Para 1. (you can substitute dominates for pwns)

I'm very excited about this model too. A 'must have' for 2011.

Love the deep carry clip but could do without the glass breaker altogether.

Also hoping that it is produced in something other than S30V.

Hey Doc,

Dagon (a forum member) has a review of the Pocket Bowie on YouTube. His YT name is MrDagon007 I think. It looks like a very cool little knife-little being the operative word. Krein has several colabs with Böker. I would very much like to see a colab with Spyderco sometime in the future ...

However you feel about their looks they just plain work. The first handgun I ever bought was a Glock 21. The year was 1992 and I was 18 years old. Shot it for a good long time in IPSC competitions. I still have it almost 20 years later and it is still dead reliable.
I plan on purchasing another ...

Will this be your first experience with a Persian? If so, you will be pleasantly surprised by the wonderful ergos, excellent fit and finish and great blade shape and grind. I too have the red Persian and it is my first of that type. Really a beautiful, useful knife.

Firearms and weapons law NY

Hello fellow NY'ers,
