It seems that most would perfer to have the original box when trading or buying. I had been keeping my boxes and as a result of Hurricane Katrina I lost all the boxes but that is a small issue in reference to everything else that got trashed by 30" of water in a house. One important lesson lear...

Thought I had lost my full size Calypso PE while on vacation in Florida but it has slipped out of my pocket and was on my truck seat. The Micarta scales are very smooth which didn't help keep the knife clipped to my pocket. That is also the reason I don't like to carry shorter Spyderco models clippe...

I carried my PE Salt 1 this summer while wade fishing in the Gulf of Mexico here in southern Louisiana. Great knife and no spots like other brands and some other Spydercos I have used over the years. I can't wait till the the yellow Pacific Salt comes out. I like the idea of a yellow handle to help ...

I managed to get my hands on a Spyderco mouse in a trade. Great little blade, and built like a tank. It is a bit too small for my hands but works great as a money clip which is what I have used it for. I am afraid to clip any shot folder as I am afraid that it will be pushed up while sitting and get...

I have several Arc flashlights and an really sorry to here they are going out of business. Great product. I read the account on Candlepower forum, sad state of affairs. I can only imagine how bad the owner feels about his employees and loyal customers.

Everyone has a right to their opinion on this subject just as they do on any subject. That is what is great about this country. I was a LE officer for 24 years so I can speak from that stand point as well as a private citizen now. I own two AK varients, an AR-15, L1A1 and other rifles and several ha...

As CKE suggested any Spyderco with an ambidexterous pocket clip and lockback of some size would be a good choice. I would caution you to check local/state laws on carrying limitations. The Civilian would certainly serve very well as it would be vicious with little training and very intimidaing to lo...

I have used my Military often for kitchen duty. It seems that I use my folders around the house the most and the kitchen is where they often get the best workout. You seem to do everything in the kitchen from opening troublesome packages, to cutting string, slicing all types of veggies and meats, ev...

Allen, I wish I had $334 to put toward a new Microtech, however the wife is partial to living indoors and paying the house note is her priority. I have started getting interested in slip joints and have gotten one Case Trapper, a Queen Trapper and single blade hunter and a Schatt & Morgan Trappe...

I have a Mini-Socom for 10 years, and within the last year picked up a used LCC PE and a Amphibian CE with green handle. I would rather the PE Amphibian but picked up this one because I wanted green handles more and didn't want to pass up the deal. I find the fit and finish of Microtech exceptional....

Several factors play a part in what I carry, where I am going, what are my particular knife interests at that time, what is allowed, what clothes I am wearing. While slip joints are my present interest, I will have a Military in one of my pockets when out on a walk as well as the slip joint. Just in...
