R/F: Home keys, one pack of purple airwaves chewing gum and the obligatory pocket lint. L/F: PE Cricket, a combo pen/pencil/PDA stylus, about 3$ of change. R/C: wallet, some old bills and other junk L/C: 2.4Gb Maxtor hard disk drive. Yup, I'm a geek ><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15...

Merlin is smaller, about the size of an Endura. That would assume that Civvie is bigger. Yikes! I've not checked the exact measures yet, but do these things come in sizes bigger than Endura? I guess I'll be forced to go back to my reading again <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=...

I must admit, though, I do enjoy my Endura as a tool, and have gotten quite attached to it in the last couple of days. Mighty nice tools these spydies. And I have done some desecration with it: I actually used it one morning to cut off a slice of bread. It just went through, with almost no pushing. ...

EDC for defense... am I insane?

After several people around me got mugged in the broad daylight and took more or less beating for it, I've decided to take up EDC. I've gotten myself two spydies last week: FRN Endura 50/50, and a Cricket PE. I'm also looking for some MBC classes right now. The question I have is... am I behaving ir...

Oh, right! I've seen that they have two: one is PE and the other is SE... they are about $40 each.

Thanks for the info <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Grey smooth Cricket?

I've seen a strange Cricket today. It's smooth, with the sides of something smooth, vaguely metal-like in texture. The color is dark grey. It's clip is fixed by three screws, tip down carry.

Any ideas what that little spyder is? I've never seen anything like it in the online catalogue...

I'd hate to see that happen to my brand new Endura. On the other hand, that's why I have several throwing knives. They are cheap, they are durable (well... relatively) and they are made for exactly the purpouse of being thrown. And walking toward someone while juggling three of them really makes peo...

It's FRN... I don't like the look/feel of SS Spydies, but that's just me. I like them light. And yes, I do enjoy Endura very much... that click it produces when you open it, mmm... yum. ><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I used to be into throwing knifes before...

I've just gotten an Endura 50/50 and a Cricket PE. Wouldn't help against really bad BGs, but it's good enough against common thugs that frequent my city at night...

I've been spending the last few hours walking around the house looking for things to cut... And the bite wasn't really bad. I was less than carefull when I wanted to close the Endura, and the little spiked bits in the serrations - it's 50-50 - have embedded themselves in the first joint of my index ...

Seducefull spydies

Darn... I went out planning to buy my first Spydie: a Dragonfly. And guess what happened... I got home with two. An Endura and a Cricket, and I love them. They really are sharp enough to shave with! Wheee! On the downside: I took the sharpness with less than the serious attitude that it requires and...
