Will Spyderco warantee cover the pivot??

Hey all. I've had an FRN Native 3D for about half a year now. The pivot was pretty stiff when I got it, and I dismissed this as all spydercos have sort of a "break in" period. But it's been a while now, and the knife has been through some use. The pivot is still pretty stiff. I tried a lot...

yea, well, spyderco uses the "ball bearing lock," which is pretty similar to the axis lock. and who cares? both companies are awesome and both seem to be doing just fine. theres always going to be overlap in ideas in the evolution of products. i say it's a good thing, because it means bett...

Kaizer!! Cool! Photography is great stuff, although, as you know, expensive! I've been shooting a lot of black and white as well, recently. I guess, the only tips I can think of is... practice! If you have the space, I could suggest for you to built your own darkroom. Many DIY darkroom manuals can b...

I thought I'd throw a few words in here too. I find the blades made from .25" stock a bit hard to sharpen. That is, thick blades honestly don't make great cutters, and none of my striders will ever be as sharp as my native ...

AET... we are in agreement, that's true... but if you knife comes out in an airborne jump, you're going to be in a lot more trouble that just losing it... at least.. i'd rather just lost the blade than find it stuck in my side.. ...

sorry, sam. honestly, though. around sheeple, the stripes really have more a tendency to scare. this isn't a bad thing, because striders are geared toward military bearing, so... i guess they are the right tools for the right jo...

CIVILIAN- you can probably use any cutting wheel on your dremel, but i would highly, highly recommend the "reinforced" ones. they are the ones that are like 4 times as expensive as the others. but they are probably 4 times as durable, and will save you the pain of constantly having to chan...

for the most part, i think stripes and camo are not a cool deal. they look scary. "militaristic," although it's really not militaristic at all. sheeple, nonetheless, perceive this type of equipment as threatening (as if just having a blade was hard enough!!). I work and play in a sheeple e...

sc_rebel does do a good job. BUT. waving isn't out of your capabilities. got a dremel? just make sure you go real slow, quench it frequently, and DRAW the cutout on the blade w/ a sharpie before you start. theres a few pics of m...

Here's my waved native. It's not a delica, but you get the idea.

It retains the hole.

I've had it for about two months now and it' works quite well, IMO. A bit harsher on the pockets than the emerson wave, but having a lockback is well worth it.

Hope this helps.

Well how about some more specifics? Because, we as knifenuts are so finicky and attentive to detail on our equipment. Are you after a battery, manual, automatic, or solar powered watch? Digital? Analog face? You already mentioned plastic cases are out. Which is kind of a shame, cause I feel like pol...

3D Native, RIGHT ON!

Last week I sold my canon rebel, my previous backup camera, and used some of the earnings to order the 3-D Native from newgraham.com. Let me say this, this knife is RIGHT ON! Man, I don't think I've ever held a folder as sweet as this. Inexpensive, VERY ergonomic (better than the Native II), very gr...

I put an ice cube of my seiko 5 crystal and got condensation. My watch has been exposed to water, from the shower, sink, pool, river, and ocean. I've opened the case back myself several times in an attempt to regulate it. Not very much water condenses, but it's definately there. I'm pretty hard on m...
