+1 that's it. Enjoy the PM2, I was surprised how much I like it when I started carrying it.Surfingringo wrote:Completely normal. The first click is the detent ball sliding off the tang and the second is the lock actually engaging. Enjoy your knife...it's a great design!

Re: To the Hunters on Here
Pocketzen, for processing game I like an edge that has some bite. A fine polished edge will tend to just slide on hair and hide. To check for bite get some manila rope from Lowe's or a hardware store and do some cutting. If you get the edge right it will cut clean and leave a shiny side to the cut ...

Re: To the Hunters on Here
I like about 15 on each side. This give me a fine enough edge for good cutting, but still durable enough in case I encounter bone, debris in hair, etc. I have also used 20 per side. I cannot say what grit on the SB as I do not have a knife in that steel.

To the Hunters on Here
I was lucky enough to draw a Cow Elk tag for this fall and will be going out for the first time. I am super excited. I plan to take my Spyderco Super Blue Stretch and either my CruWear or Super Blue Mule.
My Question is, What type of edge do you like on your hunting knife?

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
I think 1200 would certainly sell and it would put a damper on early flipping even though they're selling at a relatively low price, since it would saturate the market more and give more potential buyers to a chance to avoid flippers. It would also dilute the feeding frenzy and take some pressure ...

Re: BHQ Paramilitary 2 CPM M4 Exclusive.
Just saw a Facebook post by Blade HQ announcing a dealer exclusive Paramilitary 2 with CPM M4 blade and jade G10 handle. I don't remember seeing anything about this, so as far as I can tell this is news.

The first time I sharpen a factory edge I start with the courses grit possible. Why? Simply, the edge was ground at the factory with a belt grinder. I sharpen by had with flat stones. It has been my experience that the first time I sharpen I am still reshaping the edge. Some areas of the factory ...
