It was the Q, in the mid 90's, because I couldn't afford the beautiful Viele knife (I was student, and here in France, everything is more expensive !). And the same year, I bought my very first Native !

It's one of my favorites Spydies, and looks like my first one, the "Q" ! So yes, a good choice ! Anyway, whatever the one you'll choose as the first, it will only be the first (of a great collection, I wish you !). ;) PS : I really like the G10 one, but FRN ones are really great, very nice...

I didn't get any Spyderco ... ;( but with the gift money, I'll order 2-3, like the Orange Dragonfly, and the H1 yellow one ! And perhaps another Native 5 Ti as my personnal gift to myself :)

Native and D'fly are two of my favorite's Spydies. I'm waiting the day a knife would dethrone the Native in my hearth ! (secretly waiting a come-back to a more spear point blade for it )

I'm not a specialist, and don't own the Paramilitary, but the laser engraving, the overall quality and the box, make me feel it's a genuine one. Great job ! Even if I love the Native exactly for its spear point blade ; so you're right keeping a small section of it, making a combo of a FFG and spear point blade !
