Re: Spyderco prybar

I have a mini pry bar that I got at a local hardware store for $2. Trust me, you don't need to spend more than that on one. I use that sucker a few times a week for any number of things: opening bottles, popping lids off things, as a screwdriver, as a leverage point, as a scraper, etc. Can't say thi...

Your interaction and dedication to the ELU is what yields us die-hard fans. I have a huge amount of respect for that and I hold your company in the highest regard for not only making a stellar, innovative product, but for treating your customers like they're people.

You shouldn't be able to do that. Did you tighten the pivot pin?

Re: Sage = 2.9" Blade

Sage 1 is extremely awesome. I've been gaining a huge appreciation for my sage 3 lately though. I got the blue g10 version in a trade a couple years back and the tip was messed up. I just fixed it and I'm really enjoying using it and the extraordinary smoothness of opening it. I've had a Sebenza and...

How to deploy a knife using a shotgun

I was out shooting and was setting up my camera for another run. My shotgun was slung in single point configuration and was resting alongside my pocket. The sidesaddle grabbed my lanyard by the monkey's fist and off went my para 2! Such a weird occurance http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y27/SpIice/6...

I agree, you can do it but it is really not the way the knife was designed to open. The design and the thumbstud really come together to make them not the most satisfying knives to flick open. More of a nice smooth motion and then a quality thunk when it locks up. Which is great until the lock fina...

Of all the lock types I've encountered, the RIL is the only one to ever fail me, and that was on a Sebenza... I don't understand why it's considered so strong since the contacting part on the lock bar can wear down if you don't open and close it just the right way. Yeah it's a thicker liner lock bas...

I have all three. All three are AWESOME knives and you can't go wrong with any choice. The Native 5 is strong. The Paramilitary is fun. The Sage 1 is gorgeous, smooth and won't damage your jeans. I'd have to say the Sage 1 is my favorite. It seems the most "Special". It an amazing knife, ...

My three knives I carry most are those and a delica. I would say the PM2 gets 80% of the pocket time, the other 20% divided equally. It's just a superb knife in every respect. The sage is amazing, but I find it slightly less versitle and not quite as pleasing in the hand

Anyone know anything about antique pocket watches?

I figure given the brain trust here, someone must know something. My wife got this for me for valentines day! we haven't been able to open the back to check out the serial number unfortunately, so were trying to ascertain as much as we can online.
