The edge geometry is great. I just want to polish it to really push the edge to the next level. Definitely a little toothy right now.

Second smoothest knife I own (sebenza being the first)

In terms of knives on the market, I think the Triad lock is the most robust *gasp*

Spyderco's framelocks as well as Compression lock is very strong.

My personal preferences are always framelocks and linerlocks.

I am applying some pressure to the lockbar, but not so much that it's the focus of all my pressure.

For those curious, this is where my lockup is right now

My webcam inverses the image so don't worry it isn't left handed lol. Lockup is deceptively solid. Zero play in any direction. it is when I apply downward pressure ...

Is there something wrong with my Sage 2

hey guys,

I got a sage 2 back in June, and this was my first framelock. i really like the knife and it turned me on to that locking mechanism, but I think that there is something wrong with my particular model. I can easily disengage the lock. I can't do this with my sebenza or strider. Is this ...

What bothers me about the Manix 2's performance was not the spine whack test, but the fact that it developed that much play after shaving wood. That should not happen.

Caledon2 is SR knives? dang, I guess all my spydies are from them then.

I've had great experiences there. Even if you're in to buy a $100 knife, but want to look at the Chris reeve knives and Striders they're totally cool with it.

I would definitely make the trip. You can't replicate the ...

Here is a recent thread discussing CTS-XHP: http://spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43850

sweet, this is a good read.

Also I know a few stores in Canada do still have them. Warriors and Wonders still has them for a reasonable price. SR did have it for 168 CAD a week and a bit ago but now it ...

So another batch of a 1000 will be made soon?

If so then it's strange to see it fetching such a price.

Man I love this knife, it's a real performer.

However I need to know has this been confirmed as a sprint run or a limited production? The price on these has REALLY skyrocketed.

The same seller I bought it from is now selling it for $299 USD!!. Other stores seem to be selling it at that price ...

My collection is small (only 3), but I have to say my sage 1. I love my Manix 2 FFG, but it is a little big for frequent carry. I don't end up taking it around with me that frequently.

The Sage and a victorinox Pioneer/soldier are my most useful knives.

I have to say most satisfying cut tasks for me are

1) Helping someone who needs something cut. Especially if I've had a discussion with them previously on "why do I need a knife". They never question my hobby again.

2)Opening a new knife

3) Whittling wood. Sooooo Satisfying.

The resilience looks very interesting, as does the Para 2. I'll be interested to fondle both when they hit the local knife shop.

PS. on a side note how long does it take for a requested catalog to get delivered to Canada? I requested one like 6 weeks ago...

I don't buy only Spydies. Right now I'm on a Spydie phase, and all 3 I have purchased were excellent. There are a few more I need to get (Sage 2, Military, and possibly Stretch 2) but I appreciate products from many manufacturers. Variety is the spice of life.

Manix 2 CTS-XHP

Got one 2 days ago and it's my third Spydie. It's awesome! First Golden made one (I have a Sage 1 and Delica FFG blue). Compliments my Sage 1 nicely.
