Tip up is preferable but tip down isn't a dealbreaker if I like the knife and that's the only option. Realistically speaking its probably only a half a second difference deployment time so not that big of an issue to me.

Nice review! Echoes what I've observed with the two models. Another thing I found the Military more convenient/easier to deploy than the Police. Probably has something to do with the larger hole and shorter travel distance around pivot.

Don't know about favorite, haven't been collecting Spydies long enough to make that distinction BUT....

I really want a hawkbill Ladybug and am pretty bummed that they are going for around 4x their original price on the 'Bay since being discontinued.

All good. Took the clip off and rebent it. Now I just need to touch up the paint maybe and try to keep it from happening again.

Shame because I love the way the wire clips look. Just wish it was more sturdy.

argh! bent Sage wire clip

Haven't even had the Sage for two weeks and now the wire clip got bent to sh!t. http://staticmedium.com/bentclip.jpg Didn't even get it caught on anything either. I was merely sitting down at a table with it clipped in my front right pocket, and when I stood up and took it out apparently the angle I...

what size blade do you prefer serrations on?

Just purchased my first Spyderco, Sage 1, now I'm hooked. Next order of business is to pick up both a larger blade (either Millie or Police) and a smaller blade (either Ladybug or Dragonfly or Cricket) and I would like to have serrations somewhere in the mix. What size blade do you prefer serrations...

Awesome. The Centofante definitely looks like something an anime character would carry.
