Sorry to tell you the bad news but the Millie is going to bench all of your other knives, I have a few spydercos and a bunch of other knives and the Millie always finds it place in my pocket, I'll stop carrying for a few days and I have to go back to it, it's a perfect knife for all around tasks ...

I always carried tip up, until I got my Military, now I am getting used to tip down carry, I really don't see any disadvantage in any of the two, with tip down I use the Spyder drop, tip up I flick them open.

I have done it with diamond files. Not too bad, but had to do each groove individually. A checkering file is generally not designed for use on hardened steel. Good luck.

Just arrived today, and it made me retire my enduras, delicas, tenacious, persistence, resilience, etc, to my Spyderpac.

I fell in love with the Millie, it has become my edc blade, I don't know how I lived before this :)
