The dive type knife he describes is the probe.
The pre-diver was like the Mariner, only it had a rope cutting notch on the back of the blade.

Go for it. My small Sebenza is my EDC. It is my favorite knife too.
I tried to put off getting it, but the urge is to much. If your rare spydies are just sitting around, trade them for somthing you can use.
And did I mention the pride of ownership...<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align ...

Great Idea! I have always wanted to do something like that, but I lack the tech. skills<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
If we could get a large contribution of rare spydie owners, rare variations w/ pics would be awesome!!

Knifepunk, mine does that too. I remember Sal saying something about the fact that there has to be a tiny bit of blade play to achive maximum lock strength. Both of my lockback spydies do this(:

G-10 is heat resistant (or so I have heard). I remember a story of a Military in a housefire and the G-10 handle was the only thing that survived.....
Its tough stuff!!!!

Spyderco Slipjoint?

Is this knife still in the works? I love slipjoints because they cut well and are non-threatning to nonknife people, but they always fall out of my pocket. I really want a Spyderco slipjoint with a clip and a hole. It would also look very nice with some exotic handle material. I remember heraing ...

What knives other than Spydies do you carry?

I carry a Chris Reeve small Sebenza almost every day as an EDC. The fully serrated VG-10 Endura only comes out for really hard work.

What knives other than a Spyderco do you carry?

Tightwad- almost all of the above. Outdoors as in yardwork, hunting (especially deer), camping, up at the cabin on the lake, on the water, swamps, snowy terrain in the winter, and deer camp (deep in the woods).

What is the best Spyderco for the outdoors?

I already have the perfect EDC, so now I need a good outdoor folder for the times I can't carry a fixed blade. In your opinion, what is the best outdoor Spyderco knife?

Please explain why your suggestion is the best.

Thanks!!!!
