I don't know much about pivots, but I really do like how my para 2's glide open. I've never had any problems with blade play, and I use my knives.

I think I'm going to make a leather pouch for it, but as far as one for sale... not yet. I'm sure someone will put some on ebay after a few weeks. There are also some guys on the forum that really do some nice leather work. You may have to send your new knife away to be fitted if they don't already ...

Check out some of his videos on utube. http://www.youtube.com/user/satansbarber . As to making your own... uh... well... The tools are expensive. The leather is expensive. ...

yeah, they were beautiful. My favorite was a mokume linerlock w/ a green stone inlay. Both the scales/liners and the blade were a Devin Thomas bubble wrap pattern. And Mr. Bradley was a really nice, down to earth guy. He seemed to like to tell stories. So, anything Spyderco puts his name on... I'll ...

While I definitely believe there is a place for small knives in my collection, I feel very much the same way. I would just about freak if Spyderco came up with a 5-3/8" bladed folder. :D

Any ETA on the GB Air???

I'm chomping at the bit for this little guy. When I met Gayle Bradley at a knife show last year most of his custom pieces... in fact, all his custom knives were little gentlemen's folders w/ a wharncliffe blade. Since I'm not made of money and can't afford an original, I'm really glad Spyderco is pr...

IMO the Endura is the best all around utility knife. At least it's my favorite. I have that exact model. The blue just pops. Congrats on the beginning of your new addiction. :p

Clip the Knife to the outside of your backpack. It's more accessible. Or, better yet to your belt or in your pocket. The clips on quality knives like the Endura last for years w/o bending or warping. And to unintended opening, A is right, it would take very specific force to open the blade. I've car...

I've used the sharpmaker for a few years now, and Yeah, you can get that type of sharpness out of just about any quality steel. If you want to ACTUALLY shave with it... well you will need to strop the blade after polishing the edge and drawing out a burr. You then use a strop to straighten the burr ...
