Re: Is Spyderco about to release a new Chaparral?
I really like my stepped titanium Chapparal, the handle hides light scratches very well.

Re: Deep Carry Clip for Native 5 G-10
I tried the deep carry clip on my native, but they tend to bother my grip because they have a higher profile. I like the feel of the stock clip best.

Re: Highest end Spydercos?
The vrango is a very high quality titanium folder with s30v. It is almost too nice to use.

I want one, but can't justify it. I already have a Chapparal 3.

Re: native 5 frn or g10?
I know it's not a native 5, but the upcoming raffir Chapparal would make a great suit knife; smooth acrylic scales and a wide clip. The Chapparal is just a little bit shorter than the native.

The s35vn serrated native 5 is a really nice way to try serrations.

Re: Tanto?
Yoh should try the vrango. well I agree in the sense that I use the tip more than anything else (you can tell by my sharpening in the pics in my earlier posts). I've always found tantos useful, from opening boxes to cutting drywall, I suppose it depends on how you like to cut things, when I was open...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
I have been wanting to try the Vrango for awhile and I had the opportunity to apply a $259.00 warranty credit towards the purchase of one. I am hoping to get it in the next week or two.

Re: All Time Favorite Spyderedged Model?
I made a native 5 g10 se, by swapping a se blade from a light weight into my green g10 forum knife. This is my favorite followed by my frn caly jr se.

I like the Techno, but I like my g10 native 5 a lot more. I prefer the back lock and blade of the native, weight wise and size wise they are similar.

Re: Since a bunch of shaving related threads have come up...
D/E ikon open comb stainless razor and either Gillette nacet or Gillette black blades, indian old spice shave cream and a brush. I became tired of paying for cartridge disposables and the D/E setup shaves as good or better.

Re: Need Help with my new G10 Native
Use the knife and over time it will loosen up, it takes time for the parts to wear in. I have three native 5's my most carried and used one the blade will drop freely and if I wanted to I can flick it open.

Re: Tatanka powerlock problems, anyone else?
Maybe it needs to be opened and closed repeatedly to wear in the lock. You could also try to oil the lock surfaces. I know it took a little time for my endura to become smooth.
Re: ZT 0452CF
Could be the detent ball needs oil too.

Cpm 154, s35vn, maybe damasteel for a sprint. I have some knives in s110v, but I like less exotic steels more for a light edc knife. I agree with Ignaz suggestions.

Re: Native5 back-lock question
I have had 4 native 5's so far and none of them had any vertical play that I couldn't get rid of by adjusting the the lock bar pivot screw. I also have a super blue caly 3.5 with a fair amount of vertical play and coined lock bar face. I was hesitant to buy another lock back, but I have good luck wi...
