After spending a few months messing with the "Tactical" pens last year, I've found a couple I kept and traded off the others. A few observations from my limited evaluations: 1) A lot of them are way to odd or aggressive looking, while not being more useful than many more normal pointy thin...

Even though Friday is the short day, I enjoy it. After the initial long line, the pace is a bit more relaxed and its less crowded. Nice for meeting, greeting and chatting. If you had to pick only one day, I agree with Deacon that Saturday would be it. Unless you're trying to find something scarce, t...

CPM-S30V - Used on the Embassy and Citadel. Takes a great edge. Mine came out of the box "scary sharp". H1- The rust-proof factor grabs a lot of attention. Only have one, but it looks and works great. ZDP-189 - Makes excellent cutters. All my British Racing Green's have it. VG-10 - Good b...

As has been said, they're legal anywhere a single action automatic is legal. As I understand it, "double action" can mean two different things. One type is a knife that can be opened either as an auto or manually using a thumb stud or other such opening device. The other, usually an "...

Oh was there a matriarch with a straight edge? There was. As Deacon pointed out there was even a PE Civilian. In general for this design, I think the SE are more popular, though I like my PE Matriarch. I'm having a little trouble getting excited about the L'il Matriarch. Seems sort of like a soluti...

If anything formating annoys me more so than grammar/spelling, things like wall of text, intentional weird color/font/size etc. Oh yes. Some folks have very strange ideas about what looks good. Lots of different fonts, unreadable and/or annoying colors (red on black being one of my least favorite)....

remidy remedy :D I think that is a big part of the problem. Auto-correct type software will only get you so far. Yep. None of the tools are will catch everything. They can help, but are no substitute for proof reading what you have written. I use ieSpell (which will spell check anything written in ...

As other said, I don't recall ever seeing a tracking number.

However, you get email updates at every stage and Jeff normally ships FAST. IIRC, every order I have placed has shipped the same day, usually within a couple of hours.

I'm sure the coating is for light discipline, not corrosion prevention. This is H-1 we're talking about here. That makes perfect sense. I was thinking the Coast Guard wouldn't be concerned with that, but the larger market might very well. From what was said the yellow uncoated H1 was the prototype,...

If I followed this correctly there will be two versions. One an uncoated H-1 blade with yellow handles. Second (and the one that got the award) a coated H-1 with black handles. Both autos and restricted. Coated H-1 almost seems like overkill, but makes it pretty darn guaranteed there won't be any ru...

I'd about given up on the Dodo, but got one on Friday at Blade. The amazing (to me) part is where I found it. I was at the Spyderco booth and jokingly asked the lady I was talking too if anyone had gotten a Dodo. She hands me a prototype knife to look at while she goes away for a few minutes. Then c...

The CC# in general does not add value, and as you have seen in the other comments may actually lessen the value. Obviously it has no effect on a user, but will be more a factor for a collector...and collectors are funny folks and can be very picky about certain things. At one time I avoided them (ju...
