I started carrying a Military back in 1997... the screws rusted from my hand sweat... they were black, and soon turned redish... I sold that one, and got a newer version with Stainless Steel screws... never had a problem with rusty screws again... and, the only non-stainless steel knife I own is the...

1) Spyderco Military with Fluted Carbon Fiber Scales... LOVE to see this!

2) Spyderco Military with Natural Micarta Scales... Ditto!

I still say the Military and Paramilitary are the best knives for the money on the planet!

I almost always have my PS Military clipped to my front pocket... I have pulled it in self defense twice... both traffic related... once the assailant looked and left, the second time the assailant pulled a long piece of lead pipe and I took off... I carry my Matriarch and a night-stick when I walk ...

probably the best all-around knife that Spyderco makes... or if you like bigger blades... go with the Military...

If you like small blades... the G-10 Dragonfly 2

I love the looks of the Domino! (I am going to end up divorced... again...)

oh, and after 8 years of daily carry and use, the liner-lock hasn't moved a bit... (love the 'snap' of the liner when it opens!)
