My most carried Spydercos are a Native and a Stretch 2. The clips on those 2 were taken off many years ago and will never be replaced. How about those of us who don't use pocket clips, why do we have to put up with the holes?

I am mostly sticking to customs now. I missed out on the PM2 madness. To be honest, I have rarely met a knife I didn't like. When I started collecting I tried to buy everything and ended up with a random assortment. the next Spyderco I hope to get is the cruwear Military. I don't have any of the rec...

I am really lucky when it comes to mosquitoes; I can stand out in the swamp and very seldom git bit. I have never had a "mosquito bite" that left a mark and I have never used mosquito repellant. Horseflys are a diffent story and they are more annoying than mosquitoes.

I tend to carry knives a lot more than use them. I am sure if a had a thinned ZDP or S90v blade I would go a year between sharpenings. A VG10 blade on a Stretch gets sharpened about every 4 months, just power stropped and it is good to go again.

I cut 2 pieces at 15 degrees and screwed them to another piece of wood so they make a v. I just set a stone on each side and it works just like a sharp maker.

I think that production knives now are more affordable than ever. The first decent knife that I bought was a Schrade LB7 which came with440A steel and a sheath. It was not near as high quality knife as a PM2 or Manix2 is today. I paid $40 or so in 1980 and a Buck 110 was $60 at the same time. Almost...

I had a 2008 Chev 2500, a 2010 Dodge 1500 and now have a 2012 F250. I guess I like new trucks. Every time I get about 40,000 miles I get the urge to have a new one. It would save me a lot of money to keep one for 150,000 miles but I just don't seem to be smart enough. There is nothing like the feeli...

I too have gifted a lot of knives without getting a coin in return. I have never paid much attention to superstitions and the gifting of the knives has never affected any of the relationships that preceeded it.

I have a trailing point Moran, a drop point, a Temperance 1, a Street Bowie and a Street Beat. Out of all these I like the trailing point Moran the best. When I was younger a lot of fixed blades were trailing points and I have always found them handier. The light weight and ergonomics of the trailin...

I would buy all the sprint PM2s that I could find but it is hard to convince anyone to ship to Canada and it is a pain to preorder and wait. I would dearly love to have some of the new sprints but I haven't managed yet. Waiting for one to come up at a decent price keeps me looking and drooling.

One or two knives are as many as I would ever need. I currently have about 12 or 15 that I carry including 3 Spydercos but I have approximately 700 knives. I guess that means I am really a collector. I still buy knives all the time but I have more than enough users.

If I had to worry about what people thought of what knife I was carrying I think I would move. I see people packing 6 inch fixed blades every day and a 110 on a belt is as common as seeing someone wearing a jacket.

Whenever I wear a suit I make sure I am carrying a Stretch or a Military. I don't use clips so they are both good.
