Forum name: gbelleh Model: Urban Orange G-10, C127OR Dracula is carving his Halloween Jack-o'-lantern, but even Dracula can't avoid the strict knife laws in Transylvania. So he's using his non-locking, 2.5" orange Urban to carve his pumpkin. Dracula can always count on his Spyderco Urban to get the ...

I did, but I haven't decided how to handle the patina issue yet. So haven't really been carrying it.

I switched my pocket clip (with my Husky set) and had no problems. The screws were actually on the loose side.

Re: FRN Orange vs Burnt Orange

The burnt orange is probably my favorite Spyderco FRN color. I can't get enough of it, and the Delica hasn't left my pocket since I got it. I also had to have the Dragonfly and Stretch. Orange is my favorite color, so I like the safety orange models a lot. But the burnt orange offers a more subtle, ...

Re: Mid-Year Product Guide Discussion

Hard to believe the price on the Rhino. But I guess it's pretty similar to the Cat in materials, build and manufacture location. I'll definitely try it out.

Re: Spyderco cat / questions about whether previous quality issues have been dealt with

I have 2 440C Cats. Neither has jimping, but I don't mind that at all. Both are excellent with no issues at all (except one had a loose clip screw out of the box).

My Navaja isn't a safe queen, but it doesn't see very much use these days. Its carraca sound is still going strong.

Re: Massdrop appears to be conforming to MAP

So far this year, I've only bought 2 Spydies, one sprint, and one at 60% off MSRP. I wasn't sure how the MAP pricing would affect my purchases, but I do have to say, it has taken the fun out of the hunt for Spydies. I always enjoyed unexpectedly finding and jumping on a great sale price. Now, with t...

Re: Just pulled the plug on a C177GP Roc

I got to handle one at the SFO a few months ago. It was actually not as much of a pocket hog as I expected, and I liked the ergos and balance of it in hand. I plan to get one eventually.

Both are good. I've actually been carrying a Positron every day for the last couple weeks, but I'd go for the Techno first.

Re: Amsterdam Meet 2016 Report of Spyderco Prototypes

I don't know... at first look, the TAC 1 just looks like a Kershaw Volt with a Spydie hole to me. I'm sure it's a nice knife, but doesn't stand out as particularly exciting to me.

Re: Why no more jimping on the Cat?

I have two Cats, neither have jimping. I'm not sure why Spyderco made the change, but I don't mind the lack of jimping on the Cat. It seems plenty secure in the hand for a small folder, and sometimes a smooth thumb ramp is a good option to have. Before getting into Spydercos, I actually used to hate...
