I use a telephone cord coil type lanyard that I adapted from one sold for jet ski keys.It is attached to my flotation vest when kayaking and works very well.It stays out of the way when not in use and stretches out easily when I need my knife.

I studied judo for a few months in high school and Kyokoshinkai karate, also for a few months, in college.Once I graduated, I had more time and started training in Shorinji kempo,a Japanese art that combines both hard techniques(punches, blocks, and kicks) and soft techniques(joint locks, take downs,an...

I just got back from Disneyworld and they had no metal detectors. All that they did was to make a cursory check of any bag or pack that you were carrying.I could have smuggled in an arsenal!I think that all of this "feel good" security has gone too far.Either they should do it right or forg...

This one is my after work & weekend EDC knife. It's great!I have the leaf blade version which is a really good design for every day tasks.I find it to be conveniant to use and tough enough to handle anything that I've had to cut so far.It also carries comfortably clipped in the pocket. As a long t...

Clamp the handle in a vise with some cardboard to protect the finish. Then use a strip of cloth backed emory on the edge much like a shoeshine buffs with a cloth.Progressivly finer grits of emory should give you a smooth finish. This method is better than using a grinding wheel as you have more control.

A more durable (and more expensive!) solution than plating would be to drill & tap the stainless steel scales and screw a set of gold scales to them.Depending on how much you wanted to spend,10k, 14k or 18k gold could be used. These could be made more ornate with a variety of textures or even han...

I have hunted small game with a Feinwerkbau 124 for many years. While I also hunt with firearms, there is a certain charm to using the air rifle, and of course, the noise factor is a consideration on some properties.Since my gun is in .177 cal. I've found that head shots are the most certain on squirre...

I would definitly be interested in a titanium Delica. G-10 would be a good one too,for tip up carry as opposed to the Standard which is a good knife but can only be carried tip down.

Get the Lil'Temp, you"ll love it.I carry a Standard (just like the Delica but with a G-10 handle) to work every day as it handles every job that I need it to do and doesn't alarm the sheeple too much. After work and on weekends I carry the Lil' Temp. It's just as usful as the Standard and then so...
