Does anyone know if the salsa is made by the same Taichung craftsmen before they started adding their name to the knives?

Civilian saves whale

While watching our local news tonight there was a video of a whale rescue. To my surprise the rescue team used, what looked like to me a spyderco civilian, attached to a long pole. They were able to free the whale from rope entangled around its tail. It would of been cool to see the whale rescue bla...

The Gayle Bradley is a tough knife with looks too. When I first started using it the liner lock was very stiff. Although with constant opening and closing it became much easier over time. The only problem I encountered while using it at work was on hot days, sweat would build up on my blade while in...

the cost of re engineering the designs to fit new locks is going to stop that. Would it take a lot of engineering to make a liner lock knife into a comp. lock one? I just think of all those popular liner lock versions that kept lefties from buying them would do well with the comp. lock. I'm not say...

Old Knife New Lock

Not sure if this has been brought up before but would there be interest in bringing back older design knives with the comp. lock or CBBL. For example a c25/c50 with CBBL or a starmate with comp. lock? I'm sure some purist would be against it but just for disscusion sake. =)

I am wondering as to what the next sage knife would be too. I would expect to see a comp lock or cbb lock on a sage in the future. For those that are more knowledgable what other types of locking systems could spyderco use. I doubt the axis would be used.

Did someone say SuperBlueLeaf?

I'm definetly in for one or two.

I know the reasoning that this might not be possible is that they need to purchase x amount of superblue steel.
My answer to that would be to make some Stretch models with what's leftover. :)

This knife would be very usefull in Hawaii. With all the commercial fishing lines and nets that clutter our reefs and shores and pose a threat to the environment I think this knife would be very useful. Also with all the debris coming from the Japan tsunami there might be a use for it in helping wit...

Did you try the other side of the blade, the one without the hole. That's the side I usually cut with and it's pretty sharp. Just kidding :-)

Hope you figure out how to fix your problem, a dull knife is a pet peeve of mine too.

I carry a para2 s30v for work edc. The other day I was cutting mule tape a type of nylon rope and I could take my knife out, open it, cut, and close it in a smooth one handed motion. As I watched my coworker do this with his edc knife he had to use two hands to open his knife, take a few sawing pass...

So tempting if it wasn't for the green para 2's inbound this month plus the yojimbo 2's I have on backorder, with my luck be shipping around the same time, keeps me from pulling the trigger on this.

I wish they made one with g10. Being somewhere closer to the ss price point.
I remember watching a YouTube video where someone was using a balance while demonstrating a self defence knife technique. It was pretty impressive with that tiny knife.

There is a place called "power edge" that sells some variety of knives but they specialize in air soft guns. They have a website if you want more info.
Also a gun store called "young guns" has a few cases of knives also.
Hope this helps.

A stretch would be a no brainer but a super leaf super blue would be nice too.
