After talking to Gayle at our little knife show in Dallas this last weekend, I got the impression that the only other folder that he and Spyderco worked on is the new Air. The only other collabs he mentioned that were in the works involved something a little different.

edit - I guess that Sal and Eric will be in Oregon and not Texas this weekend. Bummer for us......

So has anyone independently tested a GB blade's hardness recently? Mine's a recent issue with the Texas logo and skeletonized liners. So far I've found it takes a very nice edge but I haven't really "tested" it much yet.

I had Tom Krein relieve the scale and liner to give better access to the Spydie hole and liner lock. I apologize for only being a part-time Spyderco guy, but I've completely missed this thing about them lowering the hardness HT for the GB M4 blade. When it first came out, Sal commented that their internal tests had the blade steel at around 65RC. Now what is it?

The GB is an incredible bargain as well IMO. It definitely has a well-deserved place in my current rotation ...

Where can I find pictures of said Cola and vinegar bathed knives? I probably won't do it (because I, too, like the shiny), but you never know...

You know, maybe she's the normal one and we're all a bit loony with our knives.....

I don't have a many Spydies, but I DO have an Endura G10 FFG that I carry for camping. The blade size is good for cooking and food prep, the blade is stout enough for most moderate cutting and slicing chores, and the whole package is quite thin and light for its size. I've had a couple of Militaries...

Blue G10 huh? Anyone have an idea what that looks like? Being a fairly new to Spydieland, I don't remember seeing that material used.

Wish it was a framelock, but then again.....when do those pre-orders open? :D
