Yeah, you must get the Para-2, it's bigger, definitely not beefier. It's more like a big sister to the Native-5. The Native-5 is now my favorite Spyderco knife. -P

I really like both the Para-2 and Native-5 as well. For my needs, two of the best knives in Spyderco's current production. Both really different from one another. Both crazy beautiful in their form and function. -P

Until recently it was a Para-2, now it's the N5.

Yeah I get it DeathBySnooSnoo, It's hard to see a model change in an unfavorable way; for me I was disappointed in the Mini-Manix to M2 redesign. It might be best to just forget about the old Natives altogether, because this N5 is a bona fide classic! If anyone is interested in a small knife with a ...

The N5 is just fine the way it is. If you need a longer blade just buy a bigger knife.

I have all three knives mentioned above. I myself believe that all three are priced reasonably well. Is the N5 better than my Para-2? No. But I will probably end up getting more use out of the N5 than my Para-2, Stretch, ATR, GB, Manix-2-sprint and Mini-Manix. The N5 might actually be my first real ...

The N5 is solid. The Para 2 –which I really like a lot– almost seems a bit flimsy compared to this N5. -P

I agree the N5 is a hands-down winner. Seems like a close relative to the old Mini-Manix; it's got some heft, it's just as lean, smaller in size and slimmer in it's proportions. Kinda mean looking! -P

The dealer I bought it from(Howes) states there will be no returns on Sprint runs, most likely because of problems like mine and no more stock to replace.
I would never do business with that seller again, ridiculous policy, thanks for the heads-up.

Wow,
tough crowd. I would much rather trust the design collaboration between Sal and Marcin than a knife designed by forum consensus. I'm all for giving feedback with regards to use and functionality, but come-on guys, leave the aesthetics to the designers.

I have to agree with grizz; the Techno looks like a real winner. I hope the design and surfaces remain true to the prototype, some really nice details in this knife.
