Hey Ken, yes that's a better way of putting it as you said. Not so much evolving but just working at it, figuring out a way to put out high quality, yet still affordable collabs that do the maker justice and at the same time give knife addicts that wow factor when they hold it in their hands.

Sal / Spyderco: Any Plans for Future Collabs with Jens Anso ?

Hi I've been keeping quiet trying to avoid asking the "will this be made, will that be made, please please" type of threads, but I am at the stage where I really do want to suggest it. We have had the Zulu collaboration (an affordable yet quality take on his popular design), seeing as how ...

Zulu is a design I've had my eye on for a few years now. I love the funkier spectrum of knives and wish Spyderco and Jens Anso would have more collaborations of his larger designs too. (seems like the other company making his designs produces a sh*t product).

Excellent review David, the Vallotton is a model I have wanted since it was announced but never seemed to try to obtain. Definitely a knife I want to pick up before they're discontinued. Does that glossy polished finish of the g10 seem to wear off at all?

Personally, I'd rather see polished G-10. It's better looking than the peel ply and probably doesn't cost any more, might even cost a bit less. The red Schempp Persian Sprint looked great and, aside from the fugly liner jimping carried over from the CBBL versions, the prototype midlock Manix redux ...

New catalog release has pretty much nothing to do with the new knife releases. Sure it can be in the new years catalog, but might not release until December 31'st :P

The general motto is, it's out when it's out.
