Does anyone know the pressure rating for the Gunting? Like how many pounds it takes for the lock to snap? Thanks.

Endura lock strength????

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to test the lock strength on the endura? I was looking for a specific number, like from hanging weights until it snapped. If anyone knows the weight, let me know. Thanks.

THanks man, I've checked them out. I think most Chinooks and lockbacks in general have play in them.

My friend has a Chinook too and his does the SAME thing as mine, so I guess mines okay. THanks alot.

Actually, to give you a better idea, this play is visually noticeable, I can see the blade move in its contact with the back of the knife.

chinook play

Sup ppl? I just bought another chinook I traded my last one and regretted it, so I had to buy a new one. However, I was wondering, how much play should there be in this lockback? The one I recieved had more play than my last, its kind of noticeable this time. I know some should be there, but wasn't ...

Well, I bought one off of Ebay, most people up there still have them around 60 on a buy it now. Thats what I did, I was just making sure the low price was something Spyderco instigated, making sure it wasn't a knockoff. THanks.

Ayoob-serrated

Have any of you guys noticed the Massad Ayoob collaboration going for about 60 bucks or so?? Its only the serrated version. I was wondering if Spyderco at one time, discounted these or something?

Hey, if any of you are dealers, could you perhaps tell me what Spyderco's minimum monthly/yearly etc. order amount is? I just would like to know the initial investment. Thanks.

Hey guys, will the stones for the sharpmaker 204MF work in the 204? I own a 204 and needed to replace my mediums and I was hoping to replace with 204mf stones if they will work. Thanks

Jeez, so I am stuck at work and I read the backposts, one caught my eye, the "how many knives do you carry?" Good god, guys, you all are walking arsenals! Some of you must have taken the "be prepared" motto of the cub scouts too seriously! Or either you live in a straight up ghet...

the best steel?

I know this isn't a knife question, but it still applies. I was looking at katana blades and I just wanted you guys opinions on what is the BEST steel, I shall spare no expense. I found onesite, saying 1050 tool steel is the best, but then there is a Swedish Powder Steel out there which is supposed ...

Opinions on the Military

Hey, I was now looking to get a military and was wondering what you guys' opinions of it were. My friend has one and I just can't figure out if I really like it enough to drop a hundred bucks. I want one with full serrations, but the serrations don't go to the tip and I don't know if I trust that li...

Hmmm, I have heard alot of good things about the sharpmaker, one of the reasons I bought it. But my friend broke his medium stones too. At any rate, he gets his pretty sharp, but I think I went through over a hundred strokes each grit and never got my endura sharp enough to shave hair. But oh well.

irritating sharpeners

Hey, do you any of you know of a really effective and easy sharpener. I have a sharpmaker, and regardless of the fact that my rods broke in half and the fine grit developed indentions, I am just not satisfied with it. It just won't get my knives as sharp as I'd like them to be. I think I would like ...

I had heard that the chinook's locking system will always have a bit of vertical play in it. Thats just how they design it. I was wondering if any of you could verify this. And let me know anything else I should before I drop 100 bucks for one. Thanks.
