It depends on where I'm at and how I am going to need to use the knife. My short list is: 1. Caly 3, CF/ZDP-189 2. Para 2, CF/S90V 3. Manix 2, CF/S90V I also like the Schempp Spin (CF/VG-10) because of its petite size, but it's not a big blade for an serious work that I could do with the Manix 2 or ...

S90V because of its strength. The steel really seems to really hold up well, although some of the other steels are pretty amazing too...so this isn't an easy vote for me.

I think we should ban all automobiles since they cause 33,000 deaths in the U.S. every year. While we are at it, let's ban cigarettes and sugar (e.g., they cause lung cancer and diabetes)... TedP We should look at banning the use of the New York City subway too. Just read a report that i...

I don't think it's for me, for the same reasons others stated. I'm sure they will sell out on the Sprint run quantity, but it doesn't seem to have the appeal to sell larger numbers.

I hear the "slippery when wet" comments every once in a while. If you use your knife in wet conditions, I'd consider something else. Now if you occasionally use your knife when your hands are wet, why not just dry them off or be careful? I'll admit the argument is a little stronger with sm...

It's a great knife and I'd recommend it. Great for the right situation - for sure. In a school environment, I suspect you'll feel more comfortable with a smaller knife and the Millie may not be allowed. Surprisingly it fits decently well in the pocket, the issue is when you open it in front of someo...

Keep an eye on it. None have sold out this fast before. Surely this is due to not all of them being put into the system in the first place. As I recall they have sold out of the webstore in the past and been restocked. I got my 2, but would like to see everyone else get theirs too. They are availab...

Ordered mine for Szabo direct. Great pricing at $175 and it's an autographed box. The thing looks huge - I like the comment that's a folding sword.

I am content with H1, I don't think I'd really be interested in the Dendritic Cobalt, if at best it equalled H1. Nothing about it stands out as being something so special it's worth having over H1.

Agreed - with your price constraint you have gotten an amazing knife that I suspect you will enjoy greatly. There are many Spyderco knives to choose from and you will find each better for certain purposes. As far as steel goes, I believe you always get the most for your money with Spyderco. Spyderco...

A while back there was talk (chatter) that the only gold lightning strike (or what ever the handle material is called) would be in the Collector's Club run. Is the Gold Lightning Strike handle material being used for all production of the Szabo folder?

I agree - it will break-in. My oldest, an S90V blade & CF scales can easily be released one handed with my thumb and index finger while securely holding the handle with that hand. In fact, I can release the lock while the blade is extracted and fling the blade out, one handed. I like the lock a ...

what is peel-ply carbon fiber? sound like a CF sticker on regular handles. JD Nope - it's not a sticker. It describes a particular type of CF scales. It's quit nice, depending on what you like...but it's not a sticker. Do a quick search on it, there are plenty of Spyderco knives with a peel-ply car...

That probably would not interest me. I suspect Spyderco would want to see an overwhelming interest in products like this before producing it. I can understand the fringe or unique knife, but not sure of the use or value of a Spyderco challenge coin.

I'm neutral on it. I won't pay more for a CC#, but I don't necessarily discount it either. ONe dealer told me they sell quite well to customers outside the U.S. U.S. customers aren't swayed by the CC#.
