is there a newer version of the viele due out soon?? There are no definite plans to bring back the Viele - please see Sal's comments above. Sal makes it clear that they cannot just start making a limited edition product again. However, he did suggest that a new variant could be produced - perhaps a...

Return of the Viele?
Is there a plan to bring back the Viele? Crocblades.com are advertising it as if they expect it to be in stock from theend of February. (See http://www.crocblades.com/store/catalog.cfm?product=C97BMP ) I hope this is correct as it is one that I would really like to add to my collection and was sorry...

Congratulations on your new fine knife. I was also hoping for a lockable version... Dialex, The unique selling point for this knife is the fact that it doesn't have a lock. The slipjoint is so good, you don't miss it either. There is also a half-stop point when the blade is at 90 degrees and this i...

Vampyrewolf Glad you are pleased with it. The Kiwi truly is a beautifully engineered and made knife. Perfect for those of us who work in an office. In your review you mention a pouch and I have seen these in some of the pictures on eBay. Were the pouches a later addition or is mine just missing? (I ...

Welcome Manxi,
Another UK supplier is the British Knife Collectors Guild (http://www.bkcg.co.uk). However, it often works out cheaper to buy from the US. The Customs charges hurt though.

El,
Welcome to the Forum.
I am no expert on the Jess Horn Lightweight, but it does not seem to be available now.
A.G. Russell are selling a very good looking stainless steel Jess Horn if you are interested. Details can be found at http://www.agrussell.com/spyderco/agsp-2ss.html
Regards,
Paul

Question on Wharncliffe Blade
I have just become the proud owner of a Kiwi. (Many thanks to Linda. Another satisfied customer.) Can anyone tell me about the history of the Wharncliffe blade? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the shape was invented by a Lord Wharncliffe. Is this true? Was it designed for a particular purp...
