Thanks lotsablades, your tip did the trick. I never knew there was an adjustable screw behind the clip. Now it seems strong enough for my use.

Now I love my cricket even more.

What is 420HC? Is this the same steel as 420 modified? Thanks.

Maybe I bought a lemon, but I would sure love to see a G-10 version of this knife. It is very handy and cuts like a dream for its size.

It is too bad they are excluding this knife from the product list. It is very comfortable and a great cutter. I love my SE Jr.

FRN handel on cricket weak?

I recently purchased a cricket with a FRN handle, but the handle seems to be a little flimsy. Is this normal? The quality of the blade and handle fit does not seem up to par with my other sypides.

Impressions of Starmate?

What are your views of this knife? I understand they are now being discontinued. I have a chance to get one for $104 plus tax.

Impressions of the Harpy

What are your impressions of this knife. It looks nasy, but how usefull is it? Is the curve too deep for general purpose use? What do you use this knife for? I imagine it would be good for cutting nets and stuff, but I doubt one could cut food on a cutting board with it. Harpy owners I want to hear ...

Just bought SS Police in ATS-55 and I love it. I take back my older comments about 55.

I own several knives including both plain and serrated. Plain edge cuts smoother, finer, straight and with less resistance than does the serrated edge. In fact, I have yet to see a cutting advantage with the serrated as compared to a razor sharp plain edge on any material.

Jeff1911, I sharpen my knives with the rods from the Spyderco Triangle system, and as a finisher, a barber belt with honing compound. However, I do not use the Triangle system- I pin the knife on the edge of the table and take the rod in hand. It doesn't sound very precise way to maintain an angle, ...

I cut up a double layered cardboard box with my older ATS 34 (less carbon than CPM 440V)Military just yesterday, and it could still shave afterwards. Must be a sharpening problem.

What angle do you use to sharpen?

What angle do you prefer to sharpen your folders and why?

I prefer a small angle (20 degrees) because I want the sharpest edge possible.

Blade length laws in Virginia?

Does any one know what the maximum allowable blade length for carry in Virginia is?

I love my new Police, but it might be on the long side for legal carry.

Rookie, I have not decided yet, but are there any more changes to the new Police besides the change to VG-10? PS. I only have one knife in ATS-55- the cricket. As I was sharpening the knife, the steel folded a little. It seemed soft like aus-8, but I know that can't be true as 55 has 1.00 carbon and...

ATS 55

Does anyone like this steel? I have tried may steels (Aus-8, 154cm, ATS34, VG-10), but this one just does not cut it for me. I want a Police, but the 55 makes me weary of buying it. What are your views?

I hear a lot about the mouse and the Meercat, but I have never seen either of them. Does anyone have a picture? I assume the mouse has been discontinued, but is the Meercat new?
