Only someone from Spyderco could say for certain, but it definitely looks like it has been modified. What makes you certain it was not done by a previous owner?

My Chinook II just arrived. It locks without blade-play, quality seems to be ok, but it's a little bit strange. Area above spyderhole is almost flat, like in Chinook I and has no jimping at all. It's not previous owner modification, it seems to be factory-made. Have somebody seen something like that ...

Definitely a Para- big Military is longer and has visible liner-lock.

It's probably Vagabond. Strange design- fixed blade with piece of FRN folding into handle instead of sheath.

Before I went to Switzerland about 2 years ago I asked swiss police via e-mail. I can't find this message but, as I remember, no knives which can be opened with one hand are allowed there.
