Spyderco Janisong
I bought one at Ray Gue Hua during my Taiwan trip right before the Taipei meet so I'd have at least one Spydie with me. I spent the rest of the trip flipping it in my hotel room while watching movies at night.

Re: Spyderco Gratitude Giveaway
I'm thankful for Doc Snubnose.
I commissioned a custom pikal knife and I asked for some input from Doc since he has a lot of experience with them. He had been pretty busy so it was nice of him to take the time to help out.

You're going to have to come up with a new name.
The Pelican is the name of a discontinued Byrd.

It's gonna come down to distance. Connor has never fought a 12 round fight and despite having great conditioning , I just don't know how he's going to handle himself if this fight goes into the later rounds. But, I'm also sure he's aware of that and between now and then he'll be training his butt o...

You might try Adam Vigil on BF. I bought one of his blades and was impressed with the quality for the price especially. I would love to own a Big Chris but his prices are really up there. Vigil just did a custom bowie in 3V for Charlie Mike (BF member/youtuber) that was a modification of a Randall ...

Yea personally I almost sent mine out for a regrind. Great knife though. Even with a thick tip the little PE end did everything I wanted it to.:) I actually did. Great oogly moogly  ! Big kudos :D Yea I was thinking of keeping the teeth but just making it thinner all over. That looks like a gr...

What are your thoughts on the Blackhawk Bewharned you designed?
Was it not different enough to be included in the video or were you just trying to avoid comment since you no longer work for Blackhawk?

Re: Mid-Year Product Guide Discussion
Does this Jumpmaster 2 not look like a full tang salt version of the Temperance 1? I was looking hard for a Temperance 1 SE some time ago, but could not find one anywhere. I once photoshopped the handle of the Jumpmaster onto the Temperance 2 (when Mike Janich visited a Navy SERE school, that's the...

Re: ROCK SALT SPRINT
Here's a review of the original Rock Salt by forum member KaliGman. This video proceeds almost like a commercial for the Spyderco Rock Salt, because I praise it so highly. The reason that I praise it to the skies is that it really is that good. I am a very picky, particular, knife user. If I do not ...

Re: More Ring-Lock Spyderco Knives or no?
One problem is that Cold Steel already released a similar knife called the Twistmaster. http://i.imgur.com/Alr68lN.png Another question to ask is "does Spyderco have a market for it?" The main appeal of Opinels is their low cost and high cutting ability. For the street price of an Endura, ...

That one's been on my wishlist for awhile and I may have to pick one up when it goes on closeout.

Re: Rescue models; liners and serrations questions
I just went out to my car and checked out the Meadowlark Rescue 2 that lives in there. It does indeed have steel liners. I don't have a Spyderco Rescue knife to compare it to (at least not anymore), but comparing it to the serrations on my Tasman Salt, the Spyderco serrations seem pointier while the...

Re: Thoughts needed...Marine Police needs a knife that works
I know you were asking for folders, but why not a pocketable fixed blade the Enuff Salt or Caspian Salt (if you can find one)? I don't think the Pygmy Warrior is pocketable, but it's smaller than the full size Warrior, is in H1, and has dual edges which could come in handy. If you're sticking with t...

I've heard good things about Chinese chopping blocks. The end grain ones are supposed to be easier on knife edges in addition to being naturally anti-bacterial.
