Well, I was going to recommend a Canon A590IS since that is what I use and it came with a carrying case and a 2GB memory card. The whole kit cost me $125 plus shipping in April 2009. I just did some research and I can't find any new ones for under $270. I don't know what happened with the price but ...

Right now it's my Persistence that I just got two days ago. Why? Because I really wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. I knew from all the reviews and from handling one that it was a good knife but I'm pretty much blown away by this thing. It's almost as if someone who knows me very well mad...

Lookin' good. I might have to do that to mine tomorrow after work. If you don't mind my asking, what did you use to sharpen it? I was kinda surprised that mine didn't come shaving sharp. It's got a good edge on it but it won't shave hair. I'll try it out on a few things at work tomorrow and see how ...

Gotta love the Persistence

Most of us on this forum already know these are great knives so I won't go into a detailed review. I bought a Persistence for a friends birthday about a month ago and I gave him the knife the same day I got it so I only had it in my posession for a few hours. I just got my very own Persistence and I...

This topic reminds me of why I think knives like the Wings, Wings Slipit, etc. are such great tools.

Wether you're a fan of PE or SE you have your favorite blade to use almost exclusively and you always have the other one on you just in case you need it.

We have a Gander Mountain and a Dick's Sporting Goods store in my town. I must admit that I have visited both places, looked at knives, and gone home and ordered the knives online for a lower price. However, I don't consider those "knife stores". I felt no guilt buying online instead of fr...

My nearest knife store is 85 miles away. The store also has a website. In most cases I could get my knives cheaper on Ebay, and I often do, but if I drive the 85 miles (170 round trip) I never walk out of there empty handed. His prices are well below MSRP but when you figure in tax and gas money I'm...

Well, without looking it up I would say the Meadowlark is closest in dimensions to the Delica and the Cara Cara is closest in dimensions to the Endura.

But I could be wrong.

How does one go about placing a pre-order?

I have never done it before and I don't know how.

Do you have to pay at the time you place the order?

I had a Kershaw Scallion that I really liked. (still have it) I got paranoid about getting pulled over for a burnt out tailight or something similar and the cop busting me for having a switchblade. I wanted something to replace the Scallion that was a similar shape and size but not an AO. That's whe...

Clips for my users are in a box in my dresser. I take them off and carry my knives the way I have for sixty years. Same here. Well, not sixty years. I used pocket clips for a while but I found that, despite the easy access to the knife, I feel much better with my knife down inside my pocket. It's w...

Yeah "Opposition", that's the word I was looking for. I don't how I came up with "Apparition". :D It's been a while since I indulged in any astronomy related things. I remember I took my scope to work one day so I could let some coworkers see Saturn before we started work. One gu...

I used to have a Mead ETX 90 telescope and I always enjoyed looking at Saturn and Jupiter with all of its moons. The Moon was always pretty cool too. Mars was an interesting planet to observe when it was at apparition. (I think that's the word) I didn't even know this alignment was taking place. Sou...

Who here has purchased the 2 DVD Set of 'RUSH' -- "Beyond The Lighted Stage"?? I got it the day it came out. The Documentary couldn't be any better. It's awesome! I appreciate that they did the bonus DVD but, in all honesty, I thought most of it was boring. Geddy even says so near the end...

Sorry you guys couldn't attend a show on this tour. I'm pretty sure they are touring again next year with the release of Clockwork Angels. Hopefully you can make it to one of those shows. Last nights concert was phenomenal as usual. They played for about three hours with a 15 or 20 minute intermissi...
