You can even google it and there is tons of info on this subject. I think it has been discussed to death, and that is why people are less than helpful when this topic comes up. Not your fault, it is just one of those things. Spyderco is well aware of the usage, and from what I understand there are &...

I think it is in our man dna that we have an inate attraction to tools. Knives are both tools and functional pieces of art all in one. The simplicity, yet the hours of R&D put into each piece makes it much more than simple. Enjoy the ride, cause this attraction was passed down to you from your a...

I guess that my thoughts are that in this day of age, any steel used in a knife is going to suit my usage. Its not like I open concrete blocks up. So, I put design over most other things.

I know that I would purchase one for sure. I have been looking for a lum tanto half-assedly, but obviously am not trying hard enough. If it were to be a sprint run, that would be cool. Okay, now the bigger question. How do we get the other company to stop making them?? :D

With all the problems our country is facing these days, WTF are elected officials worrying about these really unimportant things for??? These kind of issues should be addressed when we have a nice reserve of money, no one is hungry, kids are skinny/healthy, we all exercise, go to church, have jobs, ...

I think that the sharpmaker will help you learn all about sharpening, and no it is not cheating. I first learned to sharpen with a flat stone freehand just cause it was cheap and I didnt know about the sharpmaker. I use the sharpmaker about 97% of the time. I will use my course stone once in a while...

I got my military on friday, and I now really understand what people mean by it just kind of hiding away in your pocket. For a really big folder, it does just disappear. I had it in a lower leg pocket in my shorts and I didnt even feel it there. I am not one bit worried about breaking the tip since ...

Is the tanto a knife you want more for collection/investment or for some carry & use? I ask because I wanted one badly for a long time myself. When I got one in a trade it wasn't mint and at first I wondered if I'd made a mistake in not holding out for one that was. As it turned out, the knife ...

Pretty tough to land a c46?

This is the one older spyderco model that I lust over. I like the g-10, no ti for me. I dont really see them come up for sale all that often, but at the same time I dont watch the auctions like some of you may do. So, are they tough to get a hold of???

Thanks

I can't wait for it. I adore the Superhawk so a more traditional work blade with a MBC rated lock is going to be quite sexy. I knew there was a reason I was holding out on an AFI Manix 2. :D Different strokes for different folks...and that one works for me. Whew! I was starting to think I had bad t...

Okay, apparently you've missed my point completely, so let me ask you this question: You said "I want a robust tip that I can bear down without breaking a few millimeters off. Of all the spydies I've held, the military fits my hand the best but I can't use it for that anyway"...How many M...

Wow- superleaf looks sweet!

I just really looked it over for the first time on the knifecenter site, and I gotta say that is one pretty knife. I think I will hold off my purchses until it gets released. I would assume pretty soon since they have them up now.

Why so skinny military tip

So, I just ordered a military today in digicam. I admit that I have never actually held one. I figure that every spydie fan should probably own one since it is a keystone in the lineup. Anyway, after watching some vids and reading discussions about it, why did the spydie crew decide to make the tip ...

As I get more years under my belt with knives, I find that any frn just looks really cheap to me anymore. Now, with that being said, frn is really comfortable for working with and beating up. When you want to have a knife that looks and feels impressive, I opt for g-10, carbon, micarta, etc.
