Has the Black Handled Spyderco Salt 1 with plain edge, uncoated blade been discontinued? I've been trying to find one as a Christmas present for a co-worker. But they seen to be out of stock everywhere, any input would be appreciated.

Thank you for the replies gentlemen, and the history lesson. Like I said I've had it for years, and while I get nostalgic with older knives, I think I'll probably try to trade it off for a Spyderco model I'll use and carry.

I know Enduras and Delicas with the plastic pocket clips are getting harder to find. Does anyone know of a place (other than ebay) that may have a few of these lying around? Are the stainless handled Rookies harder to find than the G-10 ones? I have been searching various forums for one and all it seems anyone has is the G-10 model. Does anyone know where I can find one? If so drop me a line: CJFLAD13FF@AOL.COM Any help would be appreciated.
