You know what, Im more happier with this response from Sal: http://www.byrdknife.com/forums/showpost.php?p=571069&postcount=6 Eric and I have taken BaliYo's on the plane as carry on. Usually with other pens. We've had TSA inspect them, but have never cofiscated any. They've asked us to check the...

Perhaps for those who are close to the GTA, we could pick them up in person and do Spydie fan gathering? Should we make a separate thread for the group buy? FIMS, would you like to spearhead this effort, buy starting a thread in the off-topic section? Would be nice, however this forum does not allo...

So I was in court today and spoke with a few Crown's and showed them the Baliyo via Youtube. The item walks a fine line or a grey area in Canadian law regarding what it is, meant for, and modeled after. Yes it is a pen, obviously, to all of us as fans of the design, however it is something that can ...

Thanks Kristi. This was a topic from a few years ago, same with the trainer bali's, and they were not allowed into Canada. Im only speaking form personal experience in criminal proceedings on similar products and court rulings on what the function of the item was deemed to be or replicated from. Bu...

I think in this situation "interpreted to be illegal" by Customs versus "actually illegal" as determined by a court may be two different things. If the Baliyo pen in illegal, then I've got a pair of flip open pliers from Home Hardware that should also be illegal since they open ...

Bali-style knives by primary function and design are weapons, so they will never be legal here in Canada. Same with auto knives. There are a few Microtech's Id love to own and carry. As far as the Baliyo, thats where they stand legally, but if you got your hands on a few, good on ya. But it is not j...

They still fall under the Criminal Code as a Prohibited Weapon. The context of the design is of a Bali, despite it having a pen instead of blade. Now would there be an issue if you had one, most likely not. I like them. I wanted a few for my kids, however my contacts in Canada Customs as well as my ...

There is no legal length here in Canada when it comes to the carry of fixed or folding knives. The only thing you need to look at is whether it is made as a weapon ie" a Bayonet, or whether it is a cutting tool like an Endura. I had a Police 3 and kick myself for selling it. Get one if you can....

Right off, the BaliYo is a Prohibited Weapon here in Canada. It is classified as the same as a Butterfly or Bali-style knife. Are they up here? Yes, I have seen them. Ordering one, then it getting caught at the border will cause you more harm than good and will get you a free stay at the local klink...

Got tied up on another forum  for a bit, but have found I keep coming back to my Spydies.

Funny how that works.

My 1st Run Ti Millie keeps bumping other brands.

I do however, NEED to find one of the Ti/G10 M4 Millies. :D

Have you seen this thread? http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51633&highlight=FRN+police Ive been away a bit, and did not see that thread. Good to see like minded ideas. As far as it being too much like the Endura, so is the Delica, and most other knives that sport the FRN scales. ...
