Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

For sure! My wife got me an anodizing setup for Christmas a couple of years ago and, although I am nowhere near proficient, I do have a lot of fun with it. It is kind of creepy to see little sparks dance around the water when you’re soaking Ti. But I guess that’s why they recommend wearing rubber gl...

Just received the Compact a few weeks ago as an anniversary gift. I was really hoping I would get one ;). The Compact has all the features I was l...

Re: 2022 Spyderco Forum Calendar Contest

https://i.imgur.com/qyrdrnD.jpg Model: C06TI Tusk Decided to go with the Tusk for my submission this year. Such a cool little design. I love how it incorporates two different locking mechanisms into a relatively compact package. True to Spyderco style, the ergonomics (to me) are equally comfortable...

Re: Using folders unlocked

I tend not to only because I had an accident once while using an unlocked SE Harpy to cut something. (The blade snapped closed on the first joint of my index finger, causing moderate injury). The scar healed, but my finger is still crooked to this day.

Re: Fun Place

In 2000, I was 18 and getting ready to graduate from homeschool (homeschooled K-12). That year, a lot of folks were going crazy with stockpiling food and supplies while anxiously waiting for the fallout from the “Y2K” scare (it never came). I was aware of Spyderco, but didn’t own any of their knives...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I’d like to see this happen for sure. My brother has the original version (in PE, I believe) and I’ve always kicked myself for not getting one when they were still readily available. I’d be all over an SE version too. I’m not too picky on handle or blade materials, but I’d probably lean more toward...

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update

Two things...seeing this thread makes me feel a bit sad about MichaelScott's recent passing, and feel for his friends and family during what is already a tough holiday season...and the other is, that photo above with the 3 models with the different clips...why on god's green earth would ANYBODY put...

Re: This just .... - bow breakdown

Sorry to hear about the outcome with your bow, Pancake. That's no fun at all. But on the bright side, it sounds like you are in the market for a new bow. :) I was very impressed with Hoyt. In fact, it was nearly a dead tie between the Hoyt Axius Ultra and the Mathews ZXR. Darby, 305 fps is nuts! I'v...

Re: How about a hypothetical?

Honestly, I'd be happy with either one of them choosing. They both (obviously) have a keen eye for design, so I'm sure I'd be pleased with whatever model they selected.

Re: Spyderco Army Knife

I agree that both Leatherman and Victorinox make excellent multi-tools. I have several Leathermans that I use on a near-daily basis, as well as my trusty Gerber Multi-Plier. The only problem is that they don't say "Spyderco" on the handles. All kidding aside, I would gladly pay a premium f...

Re: Where is Blerv?

I believe Blerv is alive and well, based on some brief conversations I had with him on Instagram recently. Roman (BH49) sent me a note a year or so ago to thank me for our friendship and to let me know he was leaving the forum. I sure do miss that guy. IIRC, Marcus also announced his decision to lea...

https://i.imgur.com/GilExrM.jpg My wife surprised me with a McBee this past Christmas and it quickly became a favorite. It is a very functional design, despite its size. I have big hands (size XL+ in gloves), but I don’t have any issues opening/closing it one-handed. It fits perfectly in the coin p...

Re: Reveal 6 Live!

Very cool reveal! Almost every page had me saying, “I need one of those.” I mean, a re-birth of the Small-Fly?! A Tenacious in S35VN?! A Sage in Maxamet?! And that awesome Colorado-themed PM2?! Oh, and let’s not forget those sweet looking Salts on page one! Well, I can easily see this is going to be...
